Live Concerts

Featured Replies

Whoa, all of you guys saying your parents won't let you go to concerts makes me appreciate how easygoing mine are.

A Place to Bury Strangers are playing here in May and I'm thinking I should probably go. I'll see.

Yeah, not giving enough advance warning was a bad idea. I'm probably still going though, I think.

Well that's too bad son, I'm gonna make ya sit here until ya can.

*searches for youtube vids of the concert*

I don't think there are any videos from it on youtube right now. There are a few from the show, but they're of the band that played before them which was pretty terrible. There were a bunch of guys with cameras on stage so maybe they'll put a video out or something.

Anyways, it was pretty cool, Thomas just kind of talked about random stuff, I hope there is a video of it, some of the stuff he was saying was awesome and hilarious. They covered Weezer's Sweater Song which was really awesome because the whole crowd was singing along. Uhh, he told us to make a huge circle pit which sort of worked, unfortunately it was a little to big for the number of people who were actually in it. There was some decent moshing though, I'm surprised I'm not bruised after it. Some guy accidentally karate-chopped me in the throat which sucked for about a minute.

I'd love to go to Glastonbury Festival this year, with some awesome bands such as;

U2

Muse

Jack Johnson

Vampire Weekend

Florence + The Machine

This year's Warped Tour lineup sucks. Not like last year's was much better, but there's literally only one band I'd want to see.

latest concerts where pendulum last year, at brixton, before i moved to canada, and i went to holland with a few friends in feb to see florence and the machine. i love gigs, i just wish i could get more time off work that coincides with good gigs.

on a side note, to any aussie's out there, whatever happened to killing hiedi? i went to see them on their debut tour, loved em, grabbed all 3 of their discs last time i was in the upside down land, (ilu btw, so retiring there), but i can't find anything about them now, except a few vague mentions of ella having vocal chord problems. but i thought that was before their last album.

Torne apart between 2 worlds, with loves, dangers and worries in both. Can I be worth it?

Lol what is the security doing? It's like they're going out of their way to pull kids out of the crowd.

Hopefully more of the show gets put up. Nature vs. Nurture was epic, surprised they didn't play it last. I think it's one of their most emotional songs, if they played that last at the show and I was there, I probably would have cried tears of joy.

They're trying to make sure no one tries to jump back into the crowd or something. Of course the tech guys/whoever they are started diving into the crowd about halfway in. It got a lot more intense about 20 minutes in. Hopefully someone got a video of the whole show, I want to hear Thomas' speeches again. He also kept asking people to bring him jagerbombs. Which they did.

Edit: it was actually the opening band that was stage diving I think.

Quit Runescape... Dec 2001 - Jan 2008 on and off... mostly off.

Just bought my ticket (and 7 other ones for all of my friends that want to go) for the Tool show on July 1st in St. Paul. This will be my first time seeing them. [bleep]ing pumped!

Porcupine Tree worth seeing?

Second-hand, but my friend (who has seen PT three times) still can't make up his mind about whether or not they're a good live band.

I love Porcupine Tree but I can see them being not so hot live. They never come to the Twin Cities anyways. The closest is Chicago and I'm not about to drive 7 hours to see them.

I might see The Spill Canvas next month if my friend wants to go. I don't like them that much, but I haven't been to a concert in months, and it doesn't look like there are any other good bands coming here this summer, at this rate. Might as well go, I'd probably end up regretting not going.

Saw Joe Bonamassa yesterday. Easily one of my top 5 concert experiences.

It's a possibility I might be seeing The Dead Weather in July, and most likely gonna see MGMT in august too. Also going to S.C.E.N.E
