I just can't seem to understand why emos always think about the bad things of life and speak depressing stuff as if they're gonna die or something. I'm creeped out by the total black clothing, piercings etc. but I think its Ok if thats what they want to wear. But c'mon who wants an emo tell you right up in your face all the negative things in life when your in a good mood?

On a more serious note, while I think the whole Emo thing is utterly stupid and pointless, people still have a right to express their image. Now, if Russia tried to cut down on Emo suicides, that'd be fine. But taking out Emo music (I had no idea MCR was popular in Russia...) is rather pointless. It won't stop the trend, it'll just emos more pissed at the world.

And as Kranked said, we need some kind of research done for this "emo music". Just because it's associated with wrist cutting and suicides, doesn't mean it directly leads to it. Its like banning low hanging pants because its associated with gang activity. Even though I hate people who wear their pants so low, it still doesn't make sense.

Sure I could explain.

 

Most Emo's I know (and I know quite a few) are the people that don't really fit in any social groups, they become depressed and do the whole, "emo" thing. Now first of all they didn't fit in anywhere because they were either boring, stupid, immature or something like that. Wearing dark isn't gonna change that, they're still the same immature (example) person . A lot of "bad" people like that turn Emo, which is just a large group of unpleasant people, that nobody likes.

 

 

 

2) Stop complaining about how your life sucks and change what's bad about it. Try not to be a [bleep] to people, or get some friends or whatever. Instead of crying and whining (and cutting :o ) do something about it. Emo's are just normal people that can't change their life around turning into loosers.

 

 

 

3) What the hell is up with the whole "wear dark" and "listen to goth music [cabbage]?". That's just mainstream, I bet if all the depressed people started wearing pink, your average emo will start wearing pink too. Be somebody.

But this picture when I saw it made me lol, since they are starting to be wanna-be emo band when they used to be emo. Seriously, at least have a band that has the hair style going instead of somebody who can't decide if they want to be blond or black.

Great for Russia? I personally haven't encountered many emos at my school yet, though I'm sure I will someday. Still, I don't mind the ones that I do know...They aren't my favorite people, but it's not like I want to kill them or anything. I just ignore them for the most part. (Though I do hate people who conform for the sake of seeming cool - As if being "emo" is the coolest thing ever - with a passion)
