1_man_army
i wouldnt respect a few countries purely because im british. seeks can ride bikes without helmets because of their turban even though its a UK law and women can be wrapped in bedcloths but i cant wear a hat into most places and this pakisatni family just opened a cornershop next to the local off license and they also sell wine, beer and spirits. if they don't feel the need to respect our country then i will not respect theirs, especially as our laws and way of living are for our own safety and personal enjoyment and theirs are all based on some old book with no proof. i dont like diverse cultures, the reason we have different cultures is because we are different as races and people should stop migrating and just live where they are born. unfortunately i am a hypocrite and will certainly be moving from england if our government keep the floodgates open and giving foreigners more rights and quicker access to NHS, housing and benefits. i will see you all in jamaica or norway. Xenophobic, Sun-reading hypocrites like you are a big part of the reason why I would like Scotland to get out of the Union. Sure Scotland has it's own morons hat share your views but it would be nice to not be associated with as many of you. Not respecting countries 'because you're British' is just moronic. What is it about being British gives you the right to not respect others? Also most so called British people are descendants of people from foreign countries - ever heard of the Saxon, the Vikings or the Romans? All of them came from abroad and inhabited Britain at various periods. Also the Pakistani family have the right to start their business anywhere they want, even next to a rival business. That is called competition and it's a fundamental aspect of capitalism. Additionally immigration during the 50's and 60's from the Commonwealth nations kept the NHS in business by providing Doctors and Nurses, so immigration does some good for it. Bufoman
Well it all depends on what country I am going to and why... If I am at the head of an army to conquer it... well then I may or may not respect the local customs depending on my whim. Wait... I don't have an army, nor plans to conquer a country any time soon. I suppose I would at least try to fit in, but would only make an effort to assimilate if I was going to live their. Just visiting I would learn the big no-no's and call it good. I have not been outside of my country yet, and due to it's size it's not like their isn't allot of places to see and things to do here. Might go up to Canada some day, or visit the British Isles. Language is a big barrier so I would probably want to go to an English speaking country... our customs and cultures are pretty much the same, and if you do something wrong the locals can just tell you, and you can explain in your native tongue. megakiller32
In England, if you look at a group of Chavs then they get a knife out and start saying: "What??? What ya lookin at mate??? Ya f*ckin lookin at me mate??? Imma stab you up mate!!!" Which reminds me of a story. Once i was getting some quick food at burger king with some friends, and a chav walked over to this man who was eating with his girlfriend, and the chav said "YOU LOOKIN' AT ME MATE!?" so the man replied "sorry?" "YOU LOOKIN' AT ME I SAW IT!" So at this point, it looked as if someone was about to get stabbed, but this man stood up, and like in a cartoon, he expanded dramatically, and looked more muscular then Arnold Schwarznegger, and about 6ft 4. So this puny litte chav face whitened in horror and said "DON'T DO IT AGAIN'!" And ran off. It was hilarious. Also once a racist guy was on the train, screaming at someone "GO HOME, JUS' GO HOME (racial slur here.)!" So this guy who was having abuse hurled in his face replied: "I am, that's why i'm on the tube." warren211
I wonder how many rude hand motions you can give playing a game of rock paper scissors in every country... I know there is some kind of Italian or some other country where it is the equivalent of the middle finger to hold your fist in the air with your arm bend while your other arm is in a fist and that fist is touching the first arm's bicep. I've been meaning to ask this...I'm Asian, and as we all know, Asians take off their shoes when they enter houses. How about you white people? Now that I think about it, I haven't been to a white family's house in a really long time. I've had white people come to my house, and it's not instinctive for them to take off their shoes. So do you really not take off your shoes? Of course, it's different from person to person, but in general... Mostly it's just to keep from tracking things onto the carpet and whatnot. Of course, if the owner of the house doesn't bother to take their shoes off then you're not really obligated to take yours off. I'm always wearing socks unless I absolutely have to take them off (shower, etc). I always take off my shoes when I go into someone else's house, unless they stop me from doing so (which has never happened). My own domain is different, heck, I'm wearing shoes right now and I've been at home for about 3 hours. Command the Murderous Chalices!
