That 70's show has Everybody loves Raymond-style half-dry jokes. Really, I think "dry" humor actually appeals to a vast majority of 'average' people. It just isn't reflected in online communities, where lame humor gets flamed and told "yeah... Really funny [rolleye]". Can you blame the "average Joe"? I've learned that eventually... Fans of "good" humor are no better. Comedy is made with the "average Joe" in mind. He works, comes home, pops open a beer can and wants to reset his brain. Ultimately, a very little % of comedy shows/movies have genuine, intellectual/witty/reference humor. The key is how many people will get the joke. The comedy is optimized towards the average casual watcher, and thus usually, it might seem a bit dumbed-down/moronic (Disaster movie would be the perfect example, but not even the average Joe is falling for that one; It's getting crushed in reviews/box office) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I love it, the main characters are so silly and pathetic, that it's impossible not to like them, the fans are idiots, the rest of the world is stupid and everything is so extra randomly violent you can't help to burst out laughing...I gotta say the songs are pretty entertaining too. : P "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. We all know Bear Grills is a fraud and Discovery STILL airs the show. -Chowder. The show is gross, stupid, and pointless beyond all reason. In fact, the whole cartoon network is stupid now. I loved it back in the 90s, but now it's a pile of rabbit turd. The 90's was the golden age, with Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy and...Well, other shows that I miss, like Rocko's Modern Life, etc. In 2001(ish), I remember the airing of Invader Zim, one of my most favorite and missed shows...I wonder if the rumors of it's return are true... Uh, anyway...Now, Nick and Cartoon Network are decrepit pieces of crap who are bent on putting idiotic and stupid shows to entertain the masses of children. What about us?? I'm 16 and still love to watch classic cartoons...But the new episodes of Spongebob are crap, the Fairly Oddparents are CRAP, and shows like Chowder make me wanna eat some chowder and throw up. :wall: I think the show I hate the most right now...No, the shows: 1) Total drama Island 2) Big Brother 3) Chowder 4) Flapjack 5) Hannah Montana 6) Man Vs. Big Brother, yeah, shove a bunch of freaks in a house, good idea. 2.Disney Channel in general. They fail at their attempt to make it more music based. 3. Cartoon Network. Nothing good on it anymore. 4. Nickelodeon. Okay, they still show some good ones (old eposodes of Spongebob, but where are the Rugrats?
