Omar
Sometimes, I'll say something controversial here just to be argued with. A theory pops into my head, but I can't really be sure I'm not thinking something dumb (dumb as in illogical, not abnormal or immoral), so I'll post it. Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude? Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you? Camera guy: still laughing Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy Camera guy: runs away still laughing Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]! Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL! Just seems like the set image of a "successful" life doesn't really appeal to me, and isn't worth the immense amount of effort. You'll get wise once you hit 15 or 16. Or when you get into highschool. Not sure if trolling... Anyways, the thought comes up every time I think about what I want to do later in life. People: You have to do well in school. Me: Why? P: So you can go to college. M: Why? P: So you can get a good job. M: Why? P: Either A, to buy the expensive status symbols, or B, to support a family. M: A, I think carefully before I buy something. I'd rather buy a beat up looking $2000 car that runs great than a shiny $200,000 car that runs great. As for B, why in the HELL would I want a family? I don't want to live my life entirely for someone else, especially when those people would ultimately end up doing the same crap I did, or I would make so much that they don't have to work because of inheritance, in which case they become spoiled brats like Paris Hilton. My ideal life would be to live in a small house. Hell, all I would really need is a bedroom with computer area, maybe a game console, a bathroom, and a small kitchen. I'd also like to live in an area with stuff to do around town. I would work a decent job, with decent pay, and not too demanding hours. I don't need to spend a fortune a day to be content. But this life is not possible, mostly due to BS. The main reason I wouldn't want to work for ANY business is because of that [bleep]ing income tax. It's BS. As far as I'm concerned, nobody has the right to take the money that I EARNED, pretty much just as an extra source of income for the government. My dad pays a 30% income tax. Unacceptable. I just hate the government and the life it wants you to live. But is that not what a country is? If you dislike the society and the government, then what do you like about it?The land itself, the people (I know I've already said I hate the people, but my survey sample is an upper-middle class high school. Not the most quality group, you know?), the locations, and although it has been severely limited, the freedom to do this in the first place, much as the gov discourages it. I've even planned a good portion of it. 1. Work for a while until I have a few thousand dollars. Maybe sell some stuff. I would leave specific instructions that my stuff is not to leave my room, but any of my friends or family can use it. (note to self, replace hardrive before leaving, take current one with. ) 2. Buy a shopping cart from a local grocery store. Stock up on supplies, as well as a tarp to put over the cart in rainy weather. I'd buy a small tent too, with room for one or two more people if the party grows over time. Also, something fortified to keep the money in. And besides, how cool would it be to own an armored briefcase? Though I'd prefer something just as fortified but less conspicuous. Sadly, the Research and Development department has not returned any of my calls asking for Predator armor to attach to the case. 3. Buy a handgun, some ammo, and get good at using it. 4. Head west. Once I get to NYC, hang out for a while, enjoy, but don't go too crazy. The place has a way of draining your money quickly. 5. After that point is a general trek west, just doing every fun thing I find along the way. No rush, I have all the time in the world to do whatever the hell I want. If ever I run low on money, I don't ask for handouts, I ask individual people for work. Not part time jobs, just one time jobs. Need your windshield washed? Driveway shoveled? Stuff like that. 6. Forrest Gump time. Once I hit the coast, I turn around and head right the hell back, preferably using a different route. Don't know what I'd do once back in New York. Things I'm still unsure of: What WOULD I do once back in NY?I want to see other countries in my life. How would I go about that with no passport?I'd be terrified doing this on my own. Get back here so I can rub your butt.

In addition to that, not everybody with a great job gets paid money-trees for it and not everybody that does get money-trees spends it on $200,000 cars. And since when the [bleep] did having a family automatically imply that your kids have the option of becoming a cynical bastard or being a spoiled brat?
