This could be in the form of dragon metal smithing

Hmm, Jagex did post (several months ago) about raising the Level 99 cap because RS2's ways of training are "much faster and easier", so possibly we'll get a lift to say 150?

Yet some skills like slayer, or Farming take many months, if not years for the majority to get to 99. So I don't see how 150 would become the universal max level.

I don't think we'll see an increase in the level cap for quite some time. I do think though that Jagex will make it difficult to smith items at level 99, like you need do have done this part of the quest, but you need to do these 2 to 10 things to make one of the items. Something like dragon shouldn't be able to be mass produced, and it should be expensive materials to make dragon, as well as time consuming to make dragon.

I'd say if it IS a dragon forge it's will require:

A quest with several high lvl reqs

A multitude of resources acquired from various skills that all require high levels and are untradable

Large amounts of usual resources.

Eg a lvl 99 mining dragon ore plus 40 coal plus some kind of magical item (to give it its special qualites) produced via crafting and magic or w/e to make 1 bar

Then 99 smithing to smith the bars but each item requires bars AND other stuff such as dragon horns or w/e that wuld be rare drops from dragons.

Something like tht anyway meaning its not JUST 99 smithing you need but 80+ in 4 or 5 other stats plus alot of time n effort

Nope.

Holiday Items never have level requirements or stat bonuses.

Heh, yeah. Imagine the uproar when all the 99 skillcapes disappear from banks with a new max.

Hmm, this may have already been answered, but I thought of something while doing the event.

Since the you need to talk to Maggie to get your broom back, and knowing that it will only be available to p2p after the holiday period, will f2p be able to get a broom after that period?

[hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long]2vvq0z4.jpg[/hide]

I don't know if helps been given for "swept away" but here's my tips:

[hide=]3-crate puzzle:

Pick an animal from the mixed crate. The mixed crate, being wrongly labelled, should actually be the newt crate or the toad crate, so if it has a newt, its a newt crate and if it has a toad, its a toad crate. Solve the other 2 this way. For example, the mixed crate is actually a toad crate, the last 2 labels you have are newt and mixed, the newt label cant go on the newt crate (as its wrongly labelled) so put it on the toad crate and put the mixed label on the newt crate.

6-animal puzzle:

The bat and snail are rightly placed so you have to sort the other 4. As you can't pick an animal and move into another area with an animal, put the blackbird into the empty cage. Now we can rotate the animals to put the last 3 where they belong and then put the blackbird in its place.

sand-symbol puzzle:

With the compass correctly aligned (N pointing north, etc) remove the sand such that u have 2 triangles on the south west part pointing north and 2 triangles on the north east part pointing south

Unlocking holiday emotes:

If you missed last hallowe'en (I started september so I missed it) "gaze into cauldron" next to Maggie[/hide]

wasn't very happy with this years event. found the rewards a bit pointless for F2p. what's the point of giving F2p a broom when all they can do is carry it around and sweep? thought the clothes were second-rate too, well thats my rant over ;) . liked the quest though

Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.

Since a lot of people are asking for help on the puzzles, I'll quote myself this one time.

Not intended to sound THAT way, if you know what I mean.

[hide=Spoiler Hell]Trick or Treat: You can get candy from the same person if you wait a few minutes.

Quest:

Newts and Toads: The idea is to examine the label which has both on it. If you get either a frog or a newt, put that one on. You should be left with a label of the opposite animal and the both label. Then place the both label on the crate with the opposite animal that your remaining label is, and it's solved.

Ex:

Frog Newt Both

Frog Newt Both(I got a newt, I change this to Newt)

Frog Newt NEWT

BOTH FROG NEWT (You have a frog and both label left. Since you can't put the Frog label ontop the previous Frog label, that crate must be Both)

Triangles: For this the idea is to get 4 triangles, 2 parallel to each other on one corner, and another 2 parallel to each other on the opposite corner.

Ex:

                        _ _

                       \/\/

                  /\/\

                   - -

Animals: Most people have trouble with this one. For both puzzles, you must first remove the Raven and put it into the Storage Cage. For the first puzzle, it is easy, just leave the West 2 animals alone and move around the Spider, Lizard, and Rat. At the end pop the Raven back into its cage.

The second is trickier. You must assign each animal a number and solve it like you would a sliding puzzle. So:

Bat- 1

Raven- 2, but ignore this since it will be in the cage

Rat- 3

Snail- 4

Spider- 5

Lizard- 6

Then just pretend that it is a sliding puzzle and you need to achieve this:

1| |3

4|5|6

The easiest way to to line them up in descending order behind the Lizard (6). This way when it moves into place, the others will follow behind it and fall into place. So move 6 into the top left corner. Then get 5 into the Raven Cage. Then slide them both counter-clockwise so 6 is in the Snail Cage and 5 is in the Bat Cage. Get 4 now into the Raven Cage. If you did it right, the Bat and Rat should already be in their right places (note that 1 comes after 4, not 3). All that remains is for you to move 6 into its place, with 5, 4, 1, and 3 following behind it.

Rewards: You keep the broom, and you also get 10 chances to get bonus xp equal to your level in that skill*10 (So I got 800 xp for level 80 magic). You can also get the broom enchanted by the other witches for xp ranging from 1k-10k (Baba Yaga, I didn't get the UP one, so that's not including that guy). In addition, the Sorceress' Garden Apprentice gives you the ability to operate the broom - teleporting you into the Garden.

Lastly, solving the Animal puzzle the second time and giving the potion to Wendy allows you to own purple cats. Note you cannot have a purple hellcat or purple wily cat.[/hide]

I know this is really far-fetched, but has anyone tried using a visage on one of the anvils?

That is incorrect, I own a purple Wily cat. As for a purple hellcat, I do not know.
