I'll probably be getting all the DLC as soon as Mothership Zeta and Point Lookout come out. I originally started a new character just for the DLC, hoping I'd have as many skills maximized as possible through perks, skillbooks and bobbleheads. Of course it's not until after 40 hours of careful planning and playing that I find out that one of the level 30 perks completely screws over my schedule.

I really don't know what to do anymore with this game. Beat all the DLC, none of the sidequests look appealing or have good rewards, and I don't know of any interesting places to explore. Anyone have any ideas? I just want to tear stuff up with the gauss rifle and tesla cannon.

If you have a PC, mods. Do it. But since you're asking this question, you must have it for the 360, to which I will say wait for Point Lookout in the 23rd of this month and Mothership Zeta in July. Plus, you'd be surprised how cool and fun some of the sidequests are, like You Gotta Shoot 'em in the Head, Stealing Independence, or even Agathas Song, which if you do it correctly you can get the Blackhawk .44 magnum. Even exploring the ENTIRE map and find every location is awesome. Trust me, things like the Deathclaw sanctuary, the Vaults, the Nuka Cola Factory, The remnants of the Mall...But if you've went everywhere on the map, then just restart a new file.

But again, if you have a PC then use mods. But if you're using a 360, it will probably be in your best interest to actually do the sidequests and explore a lot.

Just sold my copy of FO3 for PS3. It was fun, but had too many bugs and my (the Canadian) version did not receive the 1.1 patch. I'm waiting for the Game of the Year edition which should hold the patch as well as trophy support and all 5 DLC (BECAUSE PLAYSTATION 3 OWNERS ARE GETTING DLC, BABY!)

Taking a Playstation 3 break.

I have it for PC, never really got into mods for F3 though. I've been playing on easy difficulty but I might jack that up a little higher, since the tesla cannon basically makes the game a no-brainer (especially with winterized T51b)

Trust me, mods make teh world a better place, especially in Fallout 3 or Oblivion. There are even awesome quest mods that really spruce up the game, or overhaul mods like the FOOK that make the game have a larger variety of guns and difficulty. Theres even a Terminator Mod Called Cybernetic Dawn, which puts Resistance fighters and Terminators into the wastes--not only are the hard to kill, but worth it (you roughly make around 4000ish caps per resistance fighter killed and Terminator). Then, after the resistance is wiped out, the only thing remaining tis the regular terminators which scour the wastes. Lol, a fun mod, difficult, and profitable.

They even have mods that...make you a pimp. Yeah...0.o

If you need any help in picking out mods I have a wide variety which I could tell you about. I promise it will enhance your gameplay tenfold.

It took forever, but its cool that PS3 owners will be getting the DLC finally.

small guns bobblehead was HELL. SO MANY SENTRY BOTS!!!! Right now, working on lockpick/luck/explodies (explosives).

Are you working on the skills? Or are you working on getting the bobbleheads?

Okay, sorry it took a bit to respond, exams are this week. >_<

Well anyway.

First off, you should always Consult the nexus for all of your needs--linger to the top 50 and the files of the month. Oh, and sign up, its worth it. Just be careful not to say anything unconstructive, because that results in an automatic ban.

There are many known modders--alexscorpion, darn (who created darnified UI, which overall improves the user interface tenfold. Then, theres drag0ntamer, who created Unique Weapons With Unique Textures and The ultimate power armor mod. A personal favorite is GNR- More Where That Came From to increase the amount of songs you have (I think that one is in the top 50). They have also something called the Global Travel System, which is a modders resource for people to create new countries and lands. With this mod came to be Iceland. These are both in the files of the month too, plus an awesome German quest called The Cube (based on a movie). So basically, look in the top 50 and the files of the month. They have things like new perk packs and stuff too, so use the search function frequently. J3X, another amazing modder, also made a drivable motorcycle and something called Enclave Commander. just check 'em out.

Lastly, instillation. Wherever you installed it (I assume C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3), then take the contents of the compressed items and drop them in the data folder (or, if the decompressed file is a data folder, merge it with yours) and you're all set. Oh, download the Fallout Mod Manager To check them off, Archiveinvalidation Invalidated! to enable modded textures in game, and finally Fallout Scripter Extender so you can actually play the game to its full extent. Oh, and if a modder offers a FOMOD mod, take that, because that installs everything for you be a simple double click and enabling it.

If theres anything else, just ask.

Have a good time.

Yeah, I really wish there was a way to install mods on the Xbox 360 version :wall: Oh well, Project Lookout next week (along with Broken Steel, The Pitt and Operation Anchorage for me :P).

Holy crap, there's more DLC! I've been away for far too long. It's funny, though. Like Necromagus, I've only gotten and completed Operation:Anchorage. I need to get more and start getting into this game again. Once vacation starts, I'll be back on this game.

Ok so i'm playing this game again, just started up a new save.

Anyone recommend me any back-quests or whatever to do before I complete the main story again? I didn't do a whole lot before, and I wanna just try doing some different stuff. Or a site with all quests and stuff on it would be cool too.

Just got this a few hours ago. Pretty awesome so far, just entered megaton. I killed the Overseer, I've heard that's kind of a big deal whether or not you do. Is it?

Not really. There's a side quest for you to do later on that returns you to the Vault, but it's pretty much the same. If you've killed him now, you'll just have to deal with a new Overseer if you decide to do that quest.

PC or 360?

And yeah, like Bloodkay said it's not that big of a deal. Now that you're in Megaton, you can truly begin the game. Among other things, the decision of whether or not to blow up Megaton is interesting, and grants you a living space either way.

Those Swampfolk are kicking my rear end. I'll probably play through the other DLC first to make sure I'm level 30 before doing Point Lookout :(

Yea, I'm gonna blow it up. Isn't there someplace you can only access if you blow it up? Tenpenny tower, right?

PC, by the way.

I'd recommend starting all the quests in Megaton BEFORE detonating it though.

Atleast start the survival guide and Blood Ties.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.
