evil_mumm_ra
that's why you only pick up things with actual value, like ammo you won't use, armor that can repair what you are wearing, extra weapons to repair your own weapon, and anything else with actual value, till you get a house, things like all the various components are useless to carry around cause the weight/value ratio sucks. Blutters
Yeah, I figured that out when I picked some of the stuff back up and was still overencumbered before picking it all back up. I was still kind of bored, though. The game just seems to progress so slowly...
MicroLegionnaire
What exactly constitutes an animal in Fallout 3? Because I have the animal friend perk, and I still have bloatflies attacking me...

Orpheus
I love the auto-axe. Anyone here on the PC using the Martigen's mutant mod? I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. sephiroth_king
I love the auto-axe. Anyone here on the PC using the Martigen's mutant mod? Yup. In fact, I'm using the FOOK and an overhaul, plus using a load order which makes my computer have abilities I've never thought would exist on it. I'll post my mod list later. The only thing that I dislike about the autoaxe is the fact that it disappears sometimes when you use it in first person, just turns plain invisible. Its a also a sad time for me. A mod caused all of my melee weapons do 10,000 damage, greatly unbalancing the game. So I restarted, abandoning my last account with many hours on it (not as long as people on here, but progressed and had more items than you would expect from a 75 hour play through). I'm actually doing better than before. Using the complete overhauls that I have collected...not only does the game feel more challenging, alive, and more fun, but its also incredibly detailed with all of the high-res textures that I put in (except the wasteland retextures and the town retextures). This is way more fun than my first playthrough. I'm also doing way better. I got 500 caps from the bomb deactivated, 400 caps from killing silver, sdelling everything that I collected from the vault, stealing Lucas Simms key to the armory, using one of my new companions and BAM--instant 1500 caps. \ Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
Orpheus
Just had the worst encounter ever. 15 raiders all started running and shooting at me with various weapons. Bloody hunting rifle doesn't cut it, so sometimes you just gotta bust out the nuka-grenade. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. sephiroth_king
I bought this for PC today, nice to be running around the Wastelands again! : For PC version though, how do you get different mods and maps? Fallout 3 Nexus is your first step. Your second step is to search for your mod and download it. Last, open the Compressed file, go to your Fallout 3 Directory (if you did easy install, its in c:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3; if you customized it, then go to where you placed it), look for the Data folder, and drop the contents of the Rar into there. However, the contents of the rar should say Meshes, Textures, or esm's, esp's, etc; if it says something else, open it until you find the files (Or better yet, it could say Data, where you just combine it with the other data folder). Click "Yes to all" when prompted. Before I say anything else, install this. Its the Fallout Mod Manager. Install it, then go into it and check the mod boxes. You're all set. Oh, and the last thing you'll need is Archiveinvalidation Invalidated, or else some mods won't work. You won't need the painful archiveinvalidation.txt to enable some mods as well! (Ii.e., retexture packs, MODS THAT ADD LAND, etc.) I'll post again in a bit with my mod list, with every mod I have I recommend. Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)

Dizzle229
I badly want this game on PC, but don't know if I can run it smoothly. Processor: AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz Memory: 3070MB RAM Display: ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT Chip Type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor If there's anything else you need to know tell me (Why can't you copypaste dxdiag?) Orpheus
You should be able to run it just fine. You'll probably get away on medium settings. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. sephiroth_king
You should be able to run it just fine. You'll probably get away on medium settings. He'll do just fun on ultra high settings with anti aliasing set to minimum (Maybe just high). I run Fallout 3 with a Radeon 2600 Pro graphics card, 2GB of RAM, and an Intel Pro 2 Duo processor; its a mac desktop. But even so, if it was a high end laptop I bet it would run it just fine. Soon I'm getting ATI Crossfire X Dual graphics with a extreme quad core processor and 4 GB of RAM, and judging by the reviews I've seen with these built into a laptop, people can run nearly any game just fine set to ultra high graphics. He'll probably get away with just that, and even if he doesn't get away with that, he'll do fine on high. My friends dell, the [cabbage]tiest computer off of the face of the earth (An Older NVIDIA card, 1GB of RAM, I can't even remember the processor) and he runs Fallout 3 on High Settings without a problem. And it's a laptop. So dizzle, give the graphics settings a go, Medium looks mediocre for what it will look like on Ultra High or High. And Fallout 3, even Oblivion, are the only games, THE ONLY which I can't stand to play without the highest settings, and I have no idea why. Anyone have any ideas? Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
Dizzle229
Well after playing Fallout 3 on ultra high settings it can probably be hard to like the graphics in Oblivion. Lol, the other day me an my cousin were at my Grandmas house using her laptop. We were bored, and to make fun of her crappy computer we went on Can You Run It? to see what she could run. Yeah... granny's laptop can run Crysis on full settings..... Get back here so I can rub your butt.
IeatWindex
I rented Fallout 3, and didn't like it. These type of games like Morrowind and Fallout 3 I really hate. Just not my kind of games. Of course, for who does like these kind of games, it looks promising.

SirHartlar
Urgh, was looking for Harden Simms earlier as I disarmed the bomb and his father died previously so I had to report to his son. I wasn't paying attention and went into the armory by accident and now when I load the game up all the Megatonians attack me as well as a robot. Can I reverse this in any way (i.e leaving the town for a few days) or will I have to start the game again? I'll struggle to get out of the town as I only have two stimpaks left and when I load the game I'm on 50HP.
