Fallout 3

I love this game so far, and I already have a few mods installed. The one thing that's the problem in all these games is how the npc respond. I mean, it would be like impossible to fix, but if I walk up to someone carrying a headless corpse, i think they're gonna wonder what's up.[hide=Spoilers]On trouble on the homefront, i took the nice root, reasoned with the overseer, and made amata the overseer. As the overseer was making his way back to wherever, I shot him in the back and killed him, then carried his mutilated corpse back to amata, who, even when confronted with her dads headless corpse, continued to respond with "thank you for your help, but it would be best if you left now. I'm sorry"[/hide]

Yeah, I think it's going to be a long time before we see a video game that's 100% free of quirks like that.

For carrying bodies, it probably could have been easily done for them to just add like a shock feature to npcs, depending on their faction, but to have reactions that differ and actually seem realistic, the game makers would have to spend a very long time on each ai. Or atleast all the mildy important -important ones.

Good game. I got it for my PS3. I'm completely in love with it, though I may not be able to finish it entirely because I'm a coward and hate dark tunnels where Feral ghouls run at you.... It's too creepy :P

On a side note: Anyone know why Canada, and China supposedly, didn't get the bug fix + trophy patch for this game? (PS3)

Tip to deal with that. If you think an enemy is near, spin around while tapping the VATS button fast. Vats will zoom into any enemies, even ones you normally wouldn't have seen.

Thanks :P I usually forget that I can long-distance target with it, but it still creeps me out regardless xD Oh well. I still love it.

Anyone know about the PS3 patch and Canada? Or are you all Xbox 360 people? :o

I played it on Xbox, but I HATE DARK SCARY PLACES. It's why I pretty much couldn't play Oblivion alone. Bioshock, oh God I needed a diaper and complete daylight. At least with Fallout I can hit VATs like my life depended on it.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Aww but the scary dark places are the best! Especially when you see multiple shadows multilating another shadow and then *click* the lights go out...

Such fun!

Yeah, all these games certainly are more intense than what I recall first being afraid of.

It was the Flood on Halo, the level where they were introduced freaked me out because they would jump out at you from around corners and loom out from the mist in the swamp.

I'm pretty sure it's only on this. Otherwise, we get the same games and such as anyone else.

Oh, I summoned the courage to face the scary ghouls in the car tunnels :P It wasn't as bad as I thought.

I also learned there was a flashlight /fail.

My brother turns on GNR whenever he's underground because he's scared of the screaming ghouls. :P

I'm not scared of them. VATS is an instant life-saver.

radio affects sneaking, which means don't use it for ghouls
