Lots of times i have noticed that rs knolidge helps in Rl like i have won like 50 bucks for completing quests for my friends. they just dont wanna do them themselves

When I accidently low alched my whip like last year, i was so mad i actually beat the crud out of anyone that fought me the next day in karate. To this day, they are still scared of me, but we still good friends :o. Thanks rs! It also helped me in typing class, i typed 221 wpm, and the teach got so mad cause i typed faster then him, he gave me detention the next day( got him fired :D lol ). I also learned that many kids at my school played rs so it helped on my friendship in not only rs, but in rl too. :)

When I started Runescape, my english was REALLY bad (I'm from east Canada, french section).

 

 

 

Only 3 years of Runescape gets me 80-90% in english :)

RuneScape helped me in english (i'm from Chile)

Runescape has also helped me manage money. I wish i had some money irl to manage though...WELL if I did i would know how to manage it lol

yes! i got a lot of quiz bowl questions right!

This game has taught me how to waste absurd amounts of time doing repetitive tasks. I could probably learn how to become an assembly line worker pretty easily.

RuneScape has helped me type faster and that's about it.

 

I think RuneScape isn't meant to teach you but if it does, then that's good.

Most of the stuff I know about medieval armor and Arthurian legend was spurred on by Runescape. 'Course, I did a bit of outside research, so I don't know if that counts. :3

Oh I guess I can thank Runescape for turning me into a pro puzzle box doer lol...

 

Before I couldn't even do these. I have one of those that has the numbers 1 to 15 in each box and I can solve it in like seven minutes max.

Surprisingly it made me type with using less short cuts Example:wat r u doin 2 day.

Obviously RS helped me with my typing skills, and I type pretty fast now, even though I still don't do it the proper way :oops: .

 

 

 

One time I actually remember it helping me is when one of the words on a vocab test I had was Visage. Other than that, I think I remember someone being confused about what flax is.

It took my typing from 95 to 130+ WPM...

Hehe, I would use RS as an excuse to practice typing. But now, I really do type fast. I can do 500 word homework stuff quite quickly =)

I've learned from merchanting in the Grand Exchange in RS.

 

Merchanting using the Grand Exchange is like a version of the stock market in the US. You buy items and hope it goes up. You check to see if the price is going up or down. If the price has rose, you can sell your items and make profit. Sometimes it can be predictable if it's going to go up or down. If a lot of people want that item, it will go up. If people start selling the item and nobody wants that item, it will go down in price.

 

This is similar to the stock market. You put money and buy stocks, hoping they go up and you can sell them for more cash later on. The more stocks people buy, the higher the value. If a lot of people sell the stock and nobody wants to buy it, the stock market drops.

 

Next time your mom or dad tells you video games have no benefits, you can argue otherwise. :

Whenever i beat someone at something IRL i say GF.

 

i never change my clothes, unless i get bored; just like my rs char.

 

i try to grow stuff when i see empty patches of land.

 

i order shark instead of steak whenever i go to a restaurant.

 

i have learned to fight properly, so when a bully comes i can own him 2handedly.

 

i make logfires wherever i go outside.

i can type a whole lot faster, 110 wpm!

 

 

 

I have a good grasp on merchanting, similar to the way things are done on the floor of the NYSE.

 

 

 

Everyday terms in runescape and simple things like how marigolds protect some plants can someday help me win something.

 

 

 

i am more aware of the threat of scam artists.

 

so when someone says they can trim my new BMW 7 series, i'll report them.

 

 

 

Just being on runescape, you will almost learn something everyday. (not as much as going outside and playing with your friends).
