November 12, 200817 yr Now I know lots of people whined about "F2P getting Dragon Armour" but I was just wondering, how useful is corrupt? It lasts 30 Minutes from the point where you weild it and has no specials. I don't know the prices off my head but some weapons are up to 300K. 300k in 30 minutes? Why would you ever spend that much on a single weapon? Sure, people borrow GS for 100k but heck, THAT'S A GODSWORD! I honestly think adding corrupt dragon was useless. I'm P2P but i love F2P PKing. Its more fun and easy. I can't imagine why any real pker would blow 300-1M for a single weapon/armour for only 30 minutes. Heck, I have trouble getting 1 good kill in 30 minutes. Unless you're some super-pker pure, Corrupt Dragon is useless. I was just thinking what everyone else thinks about Corrupt Dragon.

November 12, 200817 yr It is majorly useless, especially for the price it's at nowadays. It's just a novelty item Jagex decided to throw in there for kicks. EDIT - Signature far exceeds our sig limits but since it's so colourful you can keep it.
November 12, 200817 yr who knows, maybe they were rushed into the game, imo the point of the dragon weapons are the specials, what good are the weapons without the specials? yeah, you can use em as a KO weapon but is it worth the 200k or so to get a weapon that hits probably 2-3 damage higher?
November 12, 200817 yr This has posted many times please use the search button. But yes, I agree they are useless. They weren't thought through properly and are pretty much useless in PKing as dragon weapons are mostly revered for their special, (dragon dagger for example).
November 12, 200817 yr I be super pker pure... *points at sig* and I also have gotten dragon drops... free 1.6... most people would naturally jsut use a dragon wepon to ko their oppopnents... and protect it so they don't lose... don't see a use of dragon armor other than to show off though.
November 12, 200817 yr It takes an insane amount of effort to get Corrupt Dragon, and seeing as it only last half an hour the time needed to get it is not worth it. In my opinion only fools buy Corrupt Dragon, although selling it would be what I'd suggest to someone who got it as a drop. Not that it's easy enough to get one that I've ever heard of someone getting a Corrupt Dragon drop. :lol: It might be "the best" armour and weapons currently available in F2P PvP but still, half an hour? With today's runners and safers you'd be lucky if you could pk with it long enough to get another decent drop before it disintegrates. It's just a novelty for the richer of F2P'ers to buy and show off in little duels and such. And, even though they don't have their specials, they do add that little extra oomph into the killing blow, plus i guess it's got a nice psychological advantage. Pull one of those out when you're about to finish some kid off and they're bound to panic and slip up :lol:. In a month or two their limited usability will become apparent and the price will drop.
November 13, 200817 yr The armor is definitely useless. I'm not sure about the weapons, though; someone with a corrupt d scimmy or whatever could outfight players many levels higher than them. It's basically a rune 2h with the same speed as a rune scimmy; that's devastating. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Currently the source is a lot lower than the demand(which creates the rise. However, it is possible people might not realise they suck, and therefore keep buying them. So, they could go higher. November 13, 200817 yr It's currently the strongest armor in f2p, so people are going to buy it. Even if it is overpriced, some people consider the extra insurance of survival in a pvp world to be worth it. Also, you could either let it degrade with nothing, so that you won't lose anything once it disintegrates and you die, or you can bring an extra set of rune to keep you hanging in there long enough to continue owning in pvp until either you are taken down or you get more corrupt dragon. You can accomplish a good amount of kills in 30 minutes which, if you are lucky, could lead to profitable material rewards, especially if you use a method that could prolong how long it lasts, such as walking in rune (or bronze, if you want to encourage people to fight you), then switch into corrupt dragon and own their [wagon]. Of course, I'm not a pker, so maybe I shouldn't be trying to explain how useful it could be. Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so.
November 13, 200817 yr I've seen the Dragon Scimitar and the Dragon Battleaxe used as KO weapons in F2P through my own experiences, no, they are definitely not useless. Also, per fight, the weapon is only used for around 30 seconds max.

November 13, 200817 yr Well i mean all you gotta do is have 90+ str, no arm people, use rune skim then pull out a dlong. You easily hit high twenties and the occasional 32. Definitely worth it if you have decent strength and are into no arming Generally when i throw up i would rather not have it in my mouth :-X
