Security company here in Iowa. Mostly do security for the University of Iowa sports events. Pay is better than most high schoolers get so I can't complain too much.

-Last game some guy stole one of our traffic cones and began singing Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation into it. I let him keep the cone just because of the epic win.

 

 

 

-One time we were sleeping in my friends car (night shift, we work hard) and a bunch of drunk guys came up and started knocking on the windows and wanted to get in. The catch? They were all dressed like women. :o

 

 

 

-Some guy tried to give my supervisor a lesson in business management one time, though the guy admitted he had never been to school for anything regarding business.

 

 

 

-My friend and I used to go watch the Iowa girls volleyball team practice before we clocked in. It's nice having access to the Carver Hawkeye Arena at any given point ;)

 

 

 

-One time a guy was walking down Melrose Ave (directly in front of the football stadium) and he dropped his cooler and his beer went everywhere. At the exact same time, over 1000 people turned and watched his beer scatter. Then almost in sync, they started a big "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww". It was amazing, and I felt the need to join in haha

 

 

 

-My friend and I were sitting at our position during one game and my friend made a comment about how someone was dressed. I felt the need to one up him by pointing out the guy in a banana costume. (I've also seen people dressed as all kinds of thinking ranging from the Burger King to a goat-man)

-Subway : My constant money flow job which prevents me from being broke for a month. It's near my house so its really convenient.

 

 

 

-Graphic design: I make websites for an independent company, but i'm on contract so I'm not always working. I can also choose what projects I want since i've been with them for 2 years. Good pay.

 

 

 

-Snack-Seller: I honestly don't know my official job title, but I just got a just got a job selling snacks at the Bell Center during hockey games and concerts. I can also sell at the Allouettes games but their season in Montreal is over in the stadium the company I work at owns. It's freaking awesome, I once make 300$ one hockey game, and I only work between periods, so 40 mins a night. I also hang out with the SMOKING hot exercise girls, who cheer up the crowed between periods. The rack I carry around is sooo heavy and the fans treat you like trash though. I'm too busy to work there, all the way downtown, but if I work once a month I keep the job. This way I gain senority and i'll be able to sell beer soon (500$/game).

Work as a technician in a large office complex, fixing broken office equipment and help with the upkeep of the site. Pays not too good at the moment but i'm due for a rise once the 6 month probation period is over. The banter is good however and my manager/co-workers are all cool so i can't complain.

I work in the summer as a sound technician for a local concert stadium. I get paid 70 bucks an hour to help set up/run/ help clean up the place for bands like Theory of a Deadman and Shinedown.

 

 

 

I hope after I graduate this year, that I go to college and get a degree in computer science, security, or become an IT specialist. I already have an A+ certification in computer repair and networking. Had those since I was 16.

 

 

 

I wish I could do what my school's tech people do. in the first have of school, do my duties. In the second half of the day, play fps/mmorpg games against teachers/other tech people..

I work at Panchero's it's an upscale fast food joint. A bit pricey, all a la carte, and is a subway version of taco bell basically.

 

 

 

I work 35 hour weeks, along with clubs and school (with 1 ap class I didn't have time for any more) andI think I'm going to be promoted, we all started off at $6.55 (min wage for VA) and I was the only one promoted to $7 eevryone else is at $6.75. But I don't know if it's worth it.

I'm currently a full time student at college ( 8:30 AM to 3:55 PM). I'm on a programming course (well this first session of 6 in two years, we're mixed with the rest of the computer science students). Can't wait till next session, even with the things I learned in C++, it's still not a challenge. I have heard that people that graduate in programming from the college I go make an average of CAD $970+/week, and also, at the beginning of the second year, most of the students already have a future job at some company. I also heard it's amazingly easy to find a job in programming, at least in my region.
