I haven't done Sorak or whatever his name is, so it appears there's no requirement to get the drops at all.

actually it would probably be a good idea to stock up on them b4 doing the WGS quest if possible so if something goes terribly wrong you'd have backups.

Is there a better way than praying? I wasn't doing too bad surving until they became unaggressive and using guthans to heal on the warriors, but had to tele after a random made them aggressive again.

I don't know about other people, but praying is overkill for higher levels. I was wearing Barrows and offensive gear with prayer bonuses coming from SGs and a trimmed skillcape, the Zamorak warriors barely hit. If the Mages themselves don't hit hard then it is probably a good idea to use karils top and verac skirt. I brought a Geyser Titan with me as well, it rips through the mages defence. ;)

By "Barrows" do you mean karils? I usually think of the melee sets when people referr to them in that way...

By Barrows I mean Dharok's top and Verac's skirt, I was praying against Magic and using the defence of the melee plates to counter the attacks of the Zamorak Knights.

Yeah that was my point, the gear I described was what I used when I found it to be overkill. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Based on what people have said, hat seems to be most common. Maybe top and bottom are the same. I wouldn't say they were any more common than that though.

 

 

 

And the back in RSC Jagex said chance of a D med off fire giants was 1/16k, they also said that was the same chance as getting a chain off dusts I believe.

 

 

 

Anyway, the point behind they're nowhere near as rare as dragon chain from dust devils, not even close.

 

 

 

If they are the same drop rate, I'd say 1/512 sounds right.

I just bought a set of dagon hai robes off ge. They have done pretty well at fog so far. These seem like the perfect robes for barrowing. Around same mage stats as mystic + prayer bonus? This could be interesting.

I got stats on Thursday, started quest Friday, completed it today. Fun quest but the puzzles were easy, the only hard fight was the balance elemental. Though I didn't use a guide and no one could understand why I didn't.

Wealth is, as stated by Jagex, a 10% increase in chance of getting a rare drop. Even if you're 1/90,000 was right... 1/45,000 would be a 100% increase in chance of getting it.

 

 

 

Did you make those numbers up or did you ask someone to make them up for you? :wall:
