The only age limit on RS is if your too young. I think older is better, should be more mature. I dont know how i would feel if my dad played RS aswell. Weird would probobly sum it up 8-)

Personally I think it'd be cool if I had a parent who played.

Unless they were better...

OH S***! He/she/it is back!

I'm probably old enough to be the father of some of the people on this board :-w

Eh, I guess I can see myself still playing when I'm an adult, but sometimes I hope i get over this addiction :P

I think it's great that people's dads and mums can play Runescape with them  but I personally would find it rather awkward. My parents don't care what I'm doing on here and when they ask there's a beautiful thing called lying \'

My dad doesn't know how to turn the computer on and my mum's gaming is limited at Spider Solitare.

Hey, I'm a dad.

Runescape is an escape from the everyday. If I wasn't playing RS, I'd be watching TV. It's not like I quit work and left my family to play it.

I even found an awesome clan full of adults (see sig), we are far from alone!

That's really uncalled for. Do you play RuneScape? Perhaps you need to find something else to do as well.

I love to meet people; send me a pm if you see me on RuneScape! :)

I dont get it. Why would people pretend to be a runescape dad. Thread starter is obviously trying to.

For an "old" man, that grammer is.. A tad awful. And he seems like a child to me.

I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.

The dad of one of my friends used to play. He was a major DIY'er and even got 99 hunter but I don't think he's played in at least 2 years. Also this topic has some pretty hilarious posts.

I know a guy ( who I met in rs through his 2 sons) that is about 46 years old and has a lvl 130+ acc with 2k+ overall total :o

He's a really nice guy. I don't think there should be an age limit on RS

Guess what, there isn't one.

Except for being too young, which doesn't really seem to matter as you can play with parental consent I believe(or you can just lie about your age like most younger kids do.)

Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.

Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?

My dad played for a while. Ticked me off too, because he played more that I did, and his stats were higher than mine very quickly (and I started several months before him -.- ). But then he quit.

If you really are a dad, you should really work on how you type...

indeed. the SHUD killed it. I would leave some long post that is overly inflated about how your not helping your kid with your backwards grammar. But, i wont. and ill leave it as thus.

Why does having a child suddenly mean your punctuation, spelling and grammar should be perfect L.

I have a friend whos mom plays. That's about it.

When you're older you're not supposed to sound like a [developmentally delayed] child anymore.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts after reading the first post.

dads ftw! \'

i dont type correctly, i can, but i choose not to. i can type over 50 words per minute without using capitalization. i dont use spell check. im not in english class. i drink when im on the computer. i am a college educated combat veteran. i have a job and i spend time with my kids. i choose to type like this because this is how i like to type. i say things like lmao, and woot. those of you complaining about proper punctuation in an informal forums should respect your elders!

ot: i like hearing about parents involved in games, especially if their kids are playing too.

p.s. some of your parents have bribed friends and know your rs name, spy on you, and are probably added to your friends list without you knowing.

No, we shouldn't have to respect our elders. We respect them if they deserve it. If you are Barney from the Simpsons, I am not going to respect you, unless I admire your gastrointestinal skills. I can respect anyone I choose of any age for any reason. I will not respect someone because they tell me to. Also, good grammar, capitalization and spelling are pretty simple, and only require checking over your post before you post it. It will make people think more highly of you(for instance, not make them think you're a little kid). Also, I hope to God that you don't really say LMAO or W00t!

Here's a tip: Choose to use good grammar.

As you can see, by many responses on this very thread, people will often judge you by your grammar and spelling. You don't need to rush, so grammar mistakes are not allowed, in my book. This is more formal than some forums, especially the RSOF (Runescape Official Forums)(and don't call me a PWUATHTET, I'm just explaining it for future reference, as mmmorgan is apparently new to these forums). In here, you'll find intelligent (in comparison, yet it can stand alone) converse going on, and most of the time, people bother to have correct punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc. There's no need to abbreviate, as this isn't a race.

It's fine if you choose to use bad grammar, but people will choose to lessen their respect towards you.
