3hitm4g3u
One final word of advice: If you value the authority's above your friends, you will only have the authority as a friend in the end. And if that authority is Jagex you can consider yourself friendless.
alphakoldes
But seriously, in spite of the fact that using an illegal 3rd party software is against the rules, you shouldn't have done that. Your intention was malicious. You did not report because you felt that reporting was the way to identify and rectify your friend's mistake, you reported with the hope of ruining your friend's account as an act of MALICIOUS REVENGE. =D> And remind me to stay away from Racheya and the nopnoob. -Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now. Zierro
I hate accidentally making friends with people who break all of the rules. Too much drama. Plus they try to make you do it too. lol
BloodArgon
Would you let your friends do drugs and not do anything to stop them because 'you value them as a friend' ? Would you let your friends drive drunk and not do anything to stop them because again, you 'value them as a friend' ? Haven't you seen the damn commercials? I for one will ALWAYS tell me friends if they are slipping up, in their best interest. So if your friends a grimy little macroer, report him. I would. I wouldn't tell them, but I would still report them. And I've done it before. No remorse. Get on with your life, its a game in the end, and non the less, a right thing to do. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

Wizz
Friendship should be more important than Runescape... Especially IRL friendships. Actions in video games and other relaxed mediums are indicators of someone's true personality when their actions have no real world consequences. ? Here I'll stupidfy it for you. "You open more in Videogames then in Realife with other people." If a friend swears, he has a bad day. If i see some body swear ingame, i tell them that I'll report if they do it again. And I do if they say it again. When it comes to friendship, it all depends. Would you report your friend who you know is drinking and driving, or would you wait for him to wreck and kill somebody? The answer to that is simple. I'd tell him "[bleep]! Get out of the car, I'm driving!" Wongton is better than me in anyway~~
JIM
I don't want to hear anything of this "no-snitch" code, either. If you are macroing, I hope you get caught and reported. Plain and simple. People in the end need to be held accountable for their actions, and a lack of accountability is the sort of thing that has made our society weaker as a whole. How would snitching on your friend for doing something that harms nobody be beneficial for our society? I think people get way too involved in this game. Take a step back and see things for what they are, rather than what you've been told they are. If he uses the third-party software, whatever it does (does it even give him an unfair advantage?), eventually Jagex will detect it without you reporting. However, since it was not an IRL friend, you should recall the events you went through. If it were good times, then shame on you. If it weren't and he gets permabanned, then as I like to say: Nothing of value was lost.
Derrick44444
If he's cheating, report him. Simple as. You can say 'oh well friendship is more important than Runescape' so yeah, report him and if he gets mad at you then he's got the problem not you. If he stops being your friend over a game then -.- Also by not reporting him you're encouraging him to break the rules (in a way). People shouldn't cheat. Getting levels is part of the game and you're missing out on it by macroing. I wouldn't get him in trouble with say, the police over something unless it was serious, but this. is. a. game. If he gets in trouble then he should have followed the rules in the first place. :wall: It's the principle he did it.... no that it is just some game. Who knows he could rat him out on anything else... guess his true colors were showing. Wc'ing my way to 99 (Wish me luck)
Makoto_the_Phoenix
What friend worth his salt would let another get away with doing something illegal or dangerous? I think you did alright in reporting him, and if he can't value your friendship beyond the game, then that's his problem. BiJay
If a friend would break the rules I would remind him of his actions and tell him he should stop it so he won't lose his account. If he continues to break the rules I would remove him from my friends list and report him. I'm not a fan of reporting a friend and I'll never do it without talking to him about that. That's the same as I would do in real life. [404] Signature not found.
Nopnoob
Please do not compare this with real life :? I will never ever do this to a real friend. EVER Thing is, he's always nice but suddenly became a prat :-# @Alphakoldes Oh we can be friends, because I trust you don't use 3rd party software  . kudos6969
First off id like to point out ive never used third party software pure and simply because 1. i wouldnt want to loose my account, 2. i wouldnt want to risk downloading anything for runescape that didnt come from jagex due to keyloggers. But if i had freinds that did i wouldnt report them, they know the "risks". The original poster is a perfect example of most immature runescape players, and when they get upset they start to do silly things in a blind rage over a game. All be it an hour later they are perfectly fine and couldnt care less. One thing that does bug me is that jagex forces you to spend hours to reach level 99, many thousands of clicks and many thousands of hours starring at a screen, they are technically ruining your eye sight and increases your chances of rsi and needing that carpol tunnel thing and i would LOVE to be able to use macros to reduce that. I do know they they are adding more and more x options but there is still a fair amount of clicking involved with a hell of alot of things, one of the worst training prayer with a gilded altar (OMFG that hurts). Some others also have options such as 1,5 or 10 but you clearly want to do alot more than that. Ever tried enchanting 10k bolts, just rediculous. They also dont give you enough shortcuts or programmable shortcuts, id love to have a macro to enable melee prayer or to cast an iceblock without manualy clicking the mage spellbook (or shortcut key) then clicking the spell amoungst all the spells on the list, and then clicking and/or right clicking and picking from a list of 10 players looking for the correct one, while at the same time having to clicking the mini map because you cant run with arrow keys. PVP and the game are all spoiled by the lack of macros or shortcuts, and your eyes and hands are runied by the amount of clicking and starring. From personnal experience most people dont play an xbox to the extent of runescape by comparison, i know people do play for hours but not as much and as addicted like runescape or wow just a few thoughts, lovely thread imo. Nopnoob
So what I see from your post is that you support Macroing, or at least like it? And calling me immature isn't the right word, it's more that I didn't know what I was doing ;) I agree on you with loving the thread. 999134
well your karma came back around in the form of buying items off me :-# but i would or wouldn't, if he had just started using it and had hardly got anything from it then no, but if he had gained millions of gold/ exp unfairly then yes also was it a bot, a autotyper, a ghost control or w/e because reporting your friend over an auto typer is fail :( Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod![hide=old sig][/hide]

Nopnoob
I knew I wasn't the only one :^o People have to understand the situation, I was pissed, tired and I was angry on him and he was probaly angry on me. There is a dutch saying that would perfectly fit I guess.. It means that when one is in an obnoxious(sp?) situation, he does weird things that he later regrets.
