I log on today to do some Slayer tasks and realize that my entire set of Prolesyte armor is missing! I don't get it...does anyone else suffer from similar mysterious events?

Sometimes, people accidentally get added at a result of bugs in the GE coding.

Common occurance, I clean my friend list every weekend.

 

 

 

Sometimes when you right-click the the chat window it causes the person you right-clicked on to automatically get added to your friend list. Often happens when you had switched a tab/window, or caused by lag.

 

 

 

The same occurrence happens in the GE when you click on the X of the bank or GE offers, your click seems to go through the X and causes you to walk away from the booth.

This is true. I got scared as well when I first found out :lol: .

 

 

 

If somebody else really knows the password to your account, you'd think they'd steal a bit more than a set of Proselyte armour ;) .

You probably just lost it somewhere. People get added to my friends all the time, and I have to scroll all the way down to remove them. I feel a little silly though when I go running over to a green dot and it's not one of my friends. :P

If you have any friends that know your password maybe there messing with you =p

this never happens on low quality, the hd chatbox is transparent and you can actually click through it at times, i wasted 50k like this on a pot for wgs and the boost wore off, so if you can click through it and theres people chatting in the box you click add without realising it

I actually get it quite frequently on low quality, and I've noticed it was when I made frequent visits to the GE. I thought I was going crazy to, until I realized that I logged in at the same spot with the same amount of items each time. Not a very smart "hacker", eh? :lol:

Same here, Infam0us. I don't know why people think this is a HD-exclusive glitch.

Someone probably guessed your password and is dropping all your valuable items, like proselyte. also if you even find who it is, shoot him for me.

Why wouldn't they drop more things? (I'm not saying hackers are good.) If they intended to do some damage before Poopingman could change his password, they would've dropped more items (that's what I would think).

 

 

 

Maybe you were just tired when you were playing so you don't quite recall what happened...? :?

u probably add by accident because of the famous GE bug which still isnt fixed.

I play on low detail, so it's not HD exclusive. I also hate looking at my friend's list to see a bunch of new friends. As for your random item disappearances... I was doing While Guthix Sleeps today, and the garlic that I got from a druid... disappeared. I was angry.

Just a few days ago I was telling my friend how im getting paranoid - I keep cleaning my friend list and ending up with more and more people who I have no idea are! So strange that this is happening all over Runescape and people are either not noticing, or thinking they are going crazy! :lol:

(While we are ranting about the GE, more annoying is:

 

 

 

1. Running away from the booth EVERY TIME I click the X to close the bank or exchange screen. Its excruciatingly annoying!

 

 

 

2. The GE progress bar STILL doesnt work for me, staying clear always - making me guess if the item will sell or not immediately. Everytime you mention it somewhere, they always say :

 

"its cuz u have to put it at low price or ppl nevr buy it"

I delete everyone except for a few people whenever I get pissed off at something so I don't really have that problem.

Ahh i Just got sick of that glitch so now i have 200 people on there and i have no problem anymore :thumbup: :D

I know about 3 people on my Friends list but it keeps growing and I was just assuming I added them at some point in the past for some reason...

Yes, I agree with what everyone else here says. It is actually so that the game can add people to your friend's lost without you knowing about it, for example by misclicking at the GE. It's rather strange, but true. It has happened to me as well.

Well, at least some good came of this. We cracked the -random friends on friends list- mystery. :lol:

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I found a cure for the GE friend adding bug. Just turn your chatbox to "View Game" or public chat to "Hide Public" no more text in chatbox so no more friend adding ;).

Sometimes happens to me while buying stuff at the GE. Seems like whenever you click something it might mean a different command...And also sometimes when i press buttons in the GE my mouse kind of goes through the screen and clicks the ground so I walk to that spot. I hope the glitches on the GE are fixed soon...

aarrg it constantly happens i always have to delete people of my friends list also my bank gliches if i click quickly it takes items from random tabs its so annoying
