I'm not talking about a quest like Hazeel Cult. I mean like a master or even grandmaster quest, where the 'split' between different paths occurs very early. Zamorakians are always in the minority for anything official... :thumbdown: NO!!! One of the things I like about runescape is that you don't have to choose because when you choose then you would probably get different rewards in the end. I would like to be able to get every item through hard work and not be limited simply by what side I choose on a quest. The rewards could still be more or less the same. The way the quest played out would be different, though... Anyway, how are you limited if you're the one choosing the reward or path to go? Armadyl left Runescape because of the loss of his Avianses, and I feel that Itchlarin, the Anubis knock off, prizes free will as well. Didn't he break the control the Devourer had over you? If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Any intervention is divine intervention, so for the gods to have no control over your destiny would be for them to do nothing at all, ever, including helping you get out of mind control... strilmus Posted March 21, 2009 Share Posted March 21, 2009 I was talking about when you talk to Juna after the newest quest, she pretty much says that Guthix let Bandos do what he did because apparently gods have the right to enforce control over things they believe is their right even if they just invade some random plane and force the inhabitants to do their bidding. Then again, this could have just been the result of some sort of agreement that Bandos had with the other gods in exchange for the use of his troops during the God Wars. That's what Juna the snake thinks. She has served her god, Guthix, for centuries by guarding his cave. It should be no surprise that she values obedience to the gods over free will. Guthix' behaviour, however, is entirely consistent with the idea that he wanted the dorgeshuun to succeed. He must have known that Zanik strongly dislikes Bandos, and that she could resist the mind control when it made her harm her friends. "Noob" is an insult. "Noob" is overused. Be polite. He did however mention the new skill(s) will be f2p/p2p and that BH is quality assured so it will be released very soon. This morning he came into the CC and closed it, until me and a few other ranked people convinced him to reopen it for just general chatting. However he is not going to be answering questions for the moment as people were ranting about now being able to join his clan chat to see them. I plan to atleast talk to him again next time I see him on and try to get him to answer them again because it was a great way to get some info into the game without a BTS. However, like Storm, I don't like the idea of having future updates being discussed in that fashion. Sure it's great that Mod MMG is making that effort to talk to the players, but is it really necessary to talk about stuff like that that could've been posted in the long awaited Development Diaries instead? The chat's usually full (extremely full once Mod MMG or another famous individual is in the chat) and unless people post what he talks about, the general population aren't going to know and get their information from posts like this, which could end up getting distilled and twisted into strange truths (like cabbages become strawberries after a number of people passed on the rumor). Plus this can produce more pressure on the development teams because now, just like the Behind the Scenes, they're facing expectations of the players again, just without a date. But people are going to be anticipating and if these "updates" don't come quick enough, you'll have people crying foul. And even when people do post the chat's discussion, there's still some speculation. Are those people exaggerating? Are they twisting what Mod MMG said? Now, keep in mind I'm not accusing anyone here who's posted the chat's discussion details of lying, and I do appreciate you guys for sharing the info you're receiving from the chat. I'm just slightly disappointed that this information is just being passed on in this fashion rather than in a more public formal manner to inform the ENTIRE RuneScape population, not a select few who managed to be in the chat at the time. The Behind the scenes was for 1 month. 12 per year, each telling you what update was to come that month. This? This is just telling you what updates ARE/MAY come, in time. There's no timeframes, no limits nothing. Bts was removed as they couldn't get the updates ready in time, and everyone starts ranting. Its nice of him to answer questions in his chat, but I think it would be better to let everyone know then just handful of people.
