He was born in Israel and the Bible traces his lineage back to the Jewish King David on both sides, Mary and Joseph (technically his step-father). By the way, being Jewish is both a race and a religion. You can still be Jewish even if you don't practice the religious part of it. So, his skin color was probably the same as any middle eastern Jewish person. Although he did have a couple of non-Jewish people in his lineage, like Ruth and Rahab.
