I thought bows hit lower than dragon daggers, so why weaken it? Maybe it was just too good for such a cheap weapon... Or range wasn't meant to hit that high back then. But look at dark bows now. Or maybe it wasn't "overpowered", but they just felt like weakening it. But it had to be nerfed, it was far too overpowered by any standards. No the whip was max hit or zero. They nerfed out boinging :(

Air striking and flowering was both illegal, whip is damn powerful enough as it is, anchor was obviously overpowered, and the new Bandos agility was the best xp in the game but only required lvl 60 agility. For instance, in PvM, if I'm using rapid, and use the spec, the special attack comes out, followed by a 1.8s delay, then the next attack follows. For PvP, the delay is 2.4s even if I'm on rapid. I don't know when this change was made, but I don't recall it being mentioned at all. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

It may have been at the grey area and deserved and update, but definitely wasn't against the rules. whip is damn powerful enough as it is Except it has a spec that is not worth the effort to press the spec button. This is in my eyes ridicilous, seeing that when it was nerfed it was by far the strongest weapon in the game. It still is a good (for some cases the best) weapon, but it doesn't change the fact that the spec nerf went too far: from overpowered to useless. IMO nerfs should balance the situation, not totally change it. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
