Bullies

Alright, I know bullies seem like just what happens in elementary school, but does anyone here thats in highschool experience it? I know almost everyone gets picked on, but what do you guys get picked on for?

 

 

 

I get picked on by a few people for the fact that I have Tourettes. I already hate having it, and it pisses me off that these people go out of their way to make it worse for me. When ever I get stressed out or have anxiety, my tics end up getting worse, and these peope just really get to me.... Sure, its easy to say stuff like "Just don't let it bother you." "Don't care what others think." and stuff like that, but its not that easy.....

 

 

 

So the other day I snapped, and when one of them was picking on me in the locker room I shoved him against the wall (hes bigger than me, random burst of strength lol) and told him to knock it off. In return, he knees me in the groin (not like just trying to get me off him, but hard, meant to hurt me) so I kneel down in pain and he goes and high fives his buddies. By now I was PISSED and the adrenalin (sp?) was rushing and the pain was fading. I got up, shoved him to the wall again, punched him in the stomach twice, and he knelt over cause it knocked the wind out of him, then I punched him in the jaw and he went to the ground.... When he got up a minute later he started walking towards me like he wanted to hit me, so I shoved him again and he hit the bench behind him and fell over it. He gave up at that point, and the bell rang so I just walked away, happy that I had put an end to that.

 

 

 

Well, he hasn't bugged me since then, and surprisingly, I havn't gotten in trouble for it lol. Now the problem is that the people in the locker room who saw me snap think I'm a freak and are spreading word around the school about the fight. People look at me a lot differently now, and its not exactly bad, but it isn't good either, as I don't want to be known as the kid who goes around getting in fights.....

 

 

 

 

 

Sorry, just had to get all that off my chest lol. So, do any of you guys get picked on. Do you stand up to the person if they do pick on you?

I used to get verbally abused a little bit so I just hit them hard sometimes, but that was a few years ago so I won't go into that.

 

 

 

If someone tries to diss me, I just diss them right back because I can be a real [bleep] if I want to.

Thanks lol. A few of my friends were there, and when they saw me push him, they all grabbed out their phones to get a vid of it since they know I take karate lol. I wonder if any of them got a good vid... :-k

The thing with me is I don't show any angry emotions. Ever. I never raise my voice or swear.

 

Because of this, what you would call "bullies" don't get any enjoyment from attempting to taunt me. What your parents say is true - ignore them and they'll stop.

 

Though you must understand why a person "bullies" another. It may be for revenge, but most times they are being ignored, and may have family issues. It's an attention-seeking trait. Try to get to know him/her and you may find that they are quite a different person.

I do kinda get bullied, not as much this year, other than the friendly kind, but usually because of my long-ish hair and the music I listen to, also 'cause I dont seem to do anything about it. One day I am just going to snap and probably stab the [bleep]ers.

 

Seriously though, people think that just because I dont seem like one of the kinds of people who would stand up and start on them, that they can actually start on me.

 

The only reason I havent done anything yet is because of the 'if i start beating the [cabbage] out of them, will they get their 'homies' onto me?' kind of thing.

 

 

 

But there was this one kid last year who was in about half my classes.

 

Every person who used to hang around him in those classes last year dont any more, and half of them are my friends - coincidence? I did ask one of them, I bet you wished I was your friend not him last year, he said yes. lol.

 

 

 

I can box, I pro boxer. I also have leg strength, but havent learnt, or attempted to learn anything requiring legs.

 

I do know some kid who can get out of a headlock in less than 3 seconds and break your arm ;p.

In my current class there's only this one douche who constantly insults me for being overweight.

 

 

 

I do not know what is his problem, I've ignored him many times yet he continues to make fun of me. And the worst part is that he has not even laid a finger on me yet, as I have been waiting to punch him square in the face. (I'll most likely loose the fight, but punching him would be so satisfying)

I was never much of a belligerent and I doubt I've yelled a day in my life, but good job. I've always fantasized about punching the people I labelled as "irrational" in high school. They were those kids telling you who you could and couldn't date, told you how spoiled you were for having the things you had when they spent their money on fashion, the kids that brought lighters and knives to school, and the ones that constantly disrespected authority in demeaning ways. I still remember that day in 10th grade when my Trig teacher told a kid, politely, to take of his hat. The kid responded with "Shut up [bleep]" and I swear the teacher was about to cry.

I used to get bullied because of an ear infection that lasted 15 years. Good thing I'm in college now.

I have always been teased. When I was in Elementary it was because I couldn't speak Finnish, now I get teased a lot because I speak Swedish with an accent sometimes, because I know a decent amount about computers, etc. I can't honestly say that I can cope with it, I've tried to help it by making school entirely seperate from my actual life. It has worked so far.

 

 

 

There's this program at my school where we talk about teasing and such, the project leaders cited all these statistics when they announced it at assembly. "40% drop in teasing across however many schools" etc. I don't care. What matters is that there still are thousands of people out there getting bullied brutally. I wouldn't celebrate for a moment whatever "Progress" they think they've made until they've eradicated it entirely.

Are the only options. And none work, they just make you look stupid.

 

 

 

The only option is to be a man and take a beating while giving one.

 

Win or lose you'll probably be respected more and they might leave you alone.

 

 

 

Teachers, and parents, and especially the government (where I live) just suck at everything about students in highschool.

 

In primary school, we got taught at least for 1 hour, every week about 'bullying' for 2-3 months of the year.

 

It seems to make people think they're cool doing what teachers/parents tell you not to do.

 

 

 

And they blame VIDEO GAMES on school shootings?!

 

You never hear a 'popular person with everyone loving him/her' going on a shooting rampage and usually ending up killing themselves?

 

Nah, you hear the kinds of people being ridiculed for whatever reasons.

They truely are the scum of teenage society, they think it makes them look tough but in the end they either destroy lives, or it bites them on the arse later inthe future. 1 time a guy (and this is in year 12 so it shows his immaturity) wouldn't stop annoying me and would throw peices of fruit from a distance and when i'd confront him, he'd use his friends as a shield and just smirk. after he egg'ed my car last year at school I vowed i'd get him back. Last weekend I saw him down the Pub when a few mates and I were having dinner, I knew THIS was the moment I had, after racing to my mates house to grab a carton of eggs (he needed to pick up some stuff anyway) we ran back, loaded all eggs on the windows of the car (and smeering it with a few rags I had), emptied the air from all four tires and as a final reminder put a bumper sticker saying "Support Homosexual Marrage" on his boot. Needless to say that night made my day (..err...night)

I get bullied a lot.

 

 

 

I used to get bullied for being small but now I just get bullied in general. I don't really have that many friends and none of them are the confident loud-mouth type that the popular kids are so I'm screwed. I'm always the one who they'll use for a quick laugh. 'Hey Rachael wanna go out with me?' to and generally take the piss out of me. :( One of them raped my head (I suppose you could describe it as that, I was just sat down and he like came up behind me... :? ), filmed it and put it on Facebook. :cry:

 

The girls just don't like me because I'm ugly (yep) and couldn't give two flying [bleep]s more about my appearance. I also have to lie that I've ever been out with a boy and that I've ever even kissed one :wall:

I used to get bullied alot and my way of thinking used to be about getting revenge and basically trying to kill them (oh, rebdragon can tell you ALL about that).

 

 

 

I no longer think that way, I've found it's best two do two things in different situations.

 

 

 

1st few times. Act like it doesn't bother you, laugh along with them, it pisses them off.

 

 

 

Last time. Take whatever they're doing to you and shove it right back in their face.

 

 

 

Ex.

 

 

 

Today this annoying kid was blocking me from my locker, doing this annoying Steve Urkel (sp?) laugh.

 

 

 

Him: TEEHEHEHEHEHHEHE-BLAGH!-

 

 

 

Put my hand on his forehead and bashed the back of his head into my locker. Works best when there's plenty of people around to laugh at them. It's win win. He doesn't get hurt too bad, and he leaves me alone forever. Make sure you do number one for a while though, starting with violence just makes you look bad. If you're lucky you won't have to do number two at all. (immature comments will likely follow that last sentence, bring em' on)

 

 

 

Though I wouldn't recommend making a habit of fighting, you really kicked that kids [wagon] =D>

Meh, most of the bullies that bully me are just dumb. Yes, they are stronger than me. But because I'm in the last year of highschool and I've basically got three weeks left. I don't let them bother me, because you don't have to talk to them ever again. Anyway, those that do bully me now, I just agree with them and laugh. I still get intimidated by them... but soon, I won't have to see/speak to them ever again. :D
