Roseiah
I had finished everything I had decided I wanted to do, and I couldn't really think of something I wanted to do in Runescape and I was getting quite bored just standing around, so I logged off. I don't like playing Runescape when it gets boring. So if I am doing a task of some sort and it starts to get boring, and I can't really think of something else I want do I log off. I have often seen and talked to friends and other players who say I'm bored but they may still be doing that boring thing an hour later. My question is Do you still carry on playing even if you are bored, and why do you do this if you do. Or do you never get bored?

D Jay99
Meh I have lots of goals, I usually feel like doing at least one of them. If I'm really bored I just suck it up and go do some pc. That bores me even if I wasn't bored before, but I just want to get void so I'll have to do it eventually anyway :-#
SirHartlar
If I'm bored, there is absolutely no point playing. I think it is ridiculous when people are logged in doing some mundane activity and say "I'm bored...". I even ask some of my friends what they are up to and get some reply like "Fletching... -.-". If you aren't having fun, it isn't a game.

Ax600
Usually in the first 10 mins of training any kind of skill i get bored. But, if i were to log off that would defeat the purpose of trying to train to achieve a lvl... :? Excuses are tools of incompetence that builds monuments of nothingness. Those who specialize in excuses never accomplish anything. If the world does end on December 21, 2012, I want to be doing hot stuff with Megan Fox and/or playing Runescape :D
Racheya
I usually stop when I fall alseep (I actually fell asleep woodcutting last night :? ) or when the Runescape either goes off or something thanks to my crappy laptop so I can't be bothered opening it again. I usually end up at a bank or the GE stood around thinking what next to do. I usually log off because I'm just too lazy to bother doing anything else : I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].
Zillah
If I get bored, I stop playing unless I am really close to a level or a goal. I have plenty of other things to do and to me the whole point of rs is to relax and have fun. If it stops being that then I stop. I know I have a fickle heart and a bitterness and a wandering eye and a heaviness in my head.
Bouwzie
It depends, I'm on a small break at the moment (I have a test week and once I log in, there's nothing to do, so I log out again), but when I still played and I was bored, I still continued with my goal, because I love a finished goal. It gives me a good feeling. Although I might be close to all stats 80+ now, runecrafting is just too boring, so I'm on a break for a short while. God, I hate that skill. 3hitm4g3u
If I'm doing something like training I'll carry on as it's just taking time a way from the next time I raise that level. I get bored of GWD but I did it 5 times in a row once.
Draconic
Yes. This is how I play Runescape. I set dozens of little goals, that I then set out on doing. Big, huge, week-eating goals are not my style. For example, some of my goals, in no order, have been- -Get a gilded altar/revamp my house-COMPLETED -Get full void-COMPLETED -Get 80 magic-79 atm -Get high summoning-How high is high? I won't go any further than 96, am 75 atm. -Finish all quests as they come out-Completed, for now... -Get a holy elixir drop from a tormented wraith-*barf* COMPLETED *falls asleep* -Get a rune defender-COMPLETED -1800 total (I set goals like this when I'm close to them)-COMPLETED -Obtain ability to fish sharks-am 74 fishing atm -Do GWD-COMPLETED, sucked, got no drops and had inadequate armor When you go feather dragon god, you never go back. Seraphi
Sometimes I'll grind some time away, sometimes I'll go play another game. Depends on my mood I guess.

Master_Smither
Well 2 months ago I got bored with GWD so I simply just logged off until I could think of a goal. Star.
I do something that doesn't require a lot of attention and have another window up doing something else. And when that gets boring, I play a different game that isn't a MMORPG. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
Carl
I continue playing, even when I'm bored. Why? I don't know. Well, I guess you can call it an addiction but being addicted to being bored/doing nothing? :? I started to get bored of RuneScape well over 10 months ago, but I continue to play. I don't train skills (Prayer was an um, exception) much. It's rare that you'll find me out training a skill, as I just find everything boring. I stand in Edgeville 99% of the time being social, that's why I still play I guess. RIP Michaelangelopolous
WeatherMatt
I don't. Partly to help avoid the burnout that had me quit for 3 years, and partly because it's just stupid grinding endlessly while you're bored stiff. No amount of music/chats/watching TV, etc. can help then. If I can't decide what to do next after 2 minutes or so, I log out and do something else (AoG, something else entirely, go outside and see the sun, who knows). Skills will come when I get them, not because I grinded for 10+ hour shifts for days/weeks at a time. Those days of grinding for me are long over.
