Sooo i decided to post a thread on the SAT/ACT tests.

I'm taking the SAT May 2nd this year o.O But i don't know if i'm going to take the ACT (not sure what it is) anytime.

I took mine about 3 weeks ago for the first time (I'm in 8th grade though :o ) and I didn't think they were that hard. Very long though.

I'm taking the ACT in a couple of days. My last score was 27 overall, but I'm not satisfied with it.

I took the SAT last year (which was 7th grade for me) There's some program that invited certain people from our school to take it if you payed a fee. Yeah, they didn't seem hard but I don't think I did so well on the writing part considering I was younger...

29 and 30 in ACT. Including a 34 in science.

 

 

 

I never bothered to study much at all. Probably could have gotten higher but it doesn't matter now!

Yeah, I'm supposed to take my SAT next month ( also in 8th grade).

Same thing I did. I did baaaaad on the writing part too. I thought I did well. :? Math was very borderline as I was pretty much guessing on a lot of the stuff, but the English part of the test I did very well on.

I'm taking it my junior year, that's the earliest they offer it.

I took them last year, through my school. I actually took the ACT twice, I was convinced I could get a better score (I did, 28->31). I ended up doing better on everything except science, which I did 3 worse on. I ran out of time, and just put C for 1/4 of that section. I'm not fussed about it though, it's not like it's actual science, it's more like reading diagrams.

SAT. Or at least I did. Special program where if I (we) did well we can take it in advance.

I'm taking a SAT 1, its because I did exceptionally well on the placement test, ( which was to see what classes I will take in high school). So now I have to take this SAT to see if I have any " special talents", I don't need to take a test to know the answer to that :P

Last year in 7th grade, I got 710 on math, 570 on reading, and 520 on writing on the SAT I believe. My parents were very dissapointed -.- (seriously). Didn't bother to take it this year.

To be honest, those tests are the biggest joke ever. All standardized tests are.

He wasn't telling YOU to guess, he was saying you [in general] guess on the tests.

I am taking my first ACT test tomorrow morning. I should be heading to bed pretty soon, I have to be at my school by 8A.M.

Maybe their asian parents make them study pre-calc in 7th grade, my parents made me learn all this stuff that wasn't necessary when I was little.

Actually, SAT math only goes up to algebra II, ACT math goes up to trigonometry (covered in pre-cal in Texas, but other states cover it in algebra II I think)
