Will someone please tell me why the reffs have consistently been awful when they've played in Pittsburgh this year? They didn't call any penalties on Pittsburgh till the end when they were up 2-0. And then when the defender shoves Zetterburg into into the net, Zetterberg gets a penalty?! The Penguins got so lucky that game was only 2-1. It could have been like 4-1 Detroit winning. And they're not gonna be able to play as well in Hockeytown. In Finals games over the past two years, the Red Wings have outscored them 21-6. Don't think that ratio is drastically going to change. Unless of course it gets bigger. I still don't think this will be a close game by any means. I'm hoping Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to both get Kronwalled. If it goes to overtime, I pick Marian Hossa to get the Cup-clinching goal.

By the way Pens fans, Rookie Justin Abdelkader has more goals than Sidney Crosby in the finals when he's played in half the games Crosby's played in. Pavel Datsyuk has as many points as Crosby in playing just two games. The Red Wings have outscored the Pens 11-2 at Joe this year in the Finals, and 21-6 over two years. Just some things to digest before your team loses. The Cup is staying at home, Hockeytown.

Actually, the Stanley Cup's home is in Toronto. At the Hockey Hall of Fame. And those stats mean nothing, just so you know. Last year's mean nothing because both teams have improved, and this year's mean nothing because game 7s are a completely different event.

And who is to say Crosby won't break out of his slump and get some goals or at least points? The game is not as predictable as you might think.

As for the refs, I don't know since I have only seen one game in the finals thus far.

I would have to agree with you on the refs somewhat. Zetterberg clearly shouldn't have gotten a penalty for being pushed into Fleury.

^^ is correct. Zetterberg has been all over Crosby in Detroit. And Detroit gets that last change, so Zetterberg will be on the ice 99% of the time Crosby's on the ice. Pittsburgh has been really bad at the Joe this year(then again, most every visiting team has been). I just don't think they can pull away. Especially when Detroit takes it up to the next level.

Zetterberg can't keep a superstar like Crosby off the scoresheet forever. He is bound to get some points in Detroit eventually, and it COULD happen in game 7.

Er... was I willingly supporting Crosby just now? Oh dear... shoot me, please?

It's been 6 games and Hank is doing a hell of a job keeping Crosby off the scorecard ;) But I guess we'll see what happens

But if the Penguins want even a chance in hell to win this game, Crosby and Malkin need to have at least 2 points each (hopefully goals, but assists are just as fine)

Since my team is already out of the playoffs (Philadelphia) I just hope that the game is a 1 goal difference the whole time <3:

I've been watching the Wings since I was just a young kid. I remember all the championships from the 90s on. I'll just say that if Scotty Bowman was coaching, this would have been over in 4, but since they have a different coach, it takes them 7. They're going to win this game.

They need Staal going, too. They need that extra threat. But it is impossible to tell if Crosby will be able to break through Zetterberg. As much as I want Detroit to lose, and despite what I have been posting, I don't really expect Pittsburgh to pull it off. But crazier things have happened.

Is there any way I can see the game online? I kinda work during the game time and up here at the park there is a computer but no tv. I plan to go partying after and I would rather see the game than just hear about it. If anyone knows where I can see this it would be great.

I think after each period the NHL posts the highlights on YouTube... Not sure though. You can check the score by Googling 'red wings' (or penguins... if you like them for some inane reason  ) and if the game is in play the score's the first thing to come up.

They might stream it on Versus' website, but it's on NBC... so I'd try NBC. And it might be on the teams' websites, I'm not sure.

NHL.com and ESPN both have some service (you have to pay for it) to watch games live.

I don't think you can watch it live, for free.

end of the 2nd... 2-0 Penguins.

2 thing:

1) Talbot is a beast and has really stepped up tonight

2)Detroit better step up their game and get an early goal if they want to at least tie this game up ;)

Rangermad has a good point too
