Paint Balling

Today I went paint balling for the first time, and i must say i loved it. Good action, good fun. It did hurt quite abit but meh :P

Share any paint balling experiences youve had, even how much it hurt :P. The bad part was the only armour we had was for our head and neck, but not the back of our heads or body. Got 2 giant bruises now from paint ball shots less than a meter away going over 100 mph (I think).

So, feel free to share any experiences you have had.

First time I went, everyone in my party accepted body armour, but I declined. [kitties].

At one point, we played a game called 'The Chair'. To score points, a person from your team must sit on the chair for at least 10 seconds to score points. In order to prevent the enemy scoring points, you shoot the [poo] out of them to get them off.

I gotta say, my team were all noobs at it too, and the other team were vets who went every other week.

As before, the rest of my team were too [kitty] to go on, so I went in. I hadn't opted for the body armour, so I got some bruises, but we won. I stayed on for 30 seconds. The worst one I had was a huge bruise on the inside of my left leg, about 2 centimetres from my 'gentlemens area'.

Was fun. 8-)

EDIT: Almost all of my kills were from hitting people's ankles when the were poking out. So many people were limping.

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

I absolutely LOVE paintballing. Unfortunately my friend closed down his paintballing business, so I don't get to as much anymore. We didn't play the normal-style games though... mostly hostage stuff with snipers and the whole deal. It was great fun, though.

The first time I went paintballing was my friends birthday party. No body armor, just jeans, a t-shirt, a hoodie (it was really cold) and a mask.

They had an area with lots of big hills. The other team got on the highest hill, and had good cover. 2 people up there. I flanked them while 2 other people charged straight up. It worked. Then we played Capture the Flag in the woodsball area. I got shot on the mask where my mouth is, and it had small holes for air that the paint got through. Pink paintball paint tastes bad :x

I have always wanted to paintball, but I have never got the chance.

I will probably go sometime in the future.

I used to paintball, but then me and all my friends ran out of money and had to switch to airsofting.

When I first got my airsoft gun (an old Tippman Pro-Lite; very accurate), I forgot to check the fps before my first battle and gave a friend a nice 5-inch bruise on his arm with a shot from about 25 yards away. #-o

I usually played sniper because of the accuracy of my gun and the fact that I'm more cautious than my friends, so I didn't get hit much, but got to shoot a lot of people. One time, I hit my brother's best friend in the butt, but he didn't do anything, so I shot him again in the shoulder.

Theres a paintballing centre relativly near me, and they stock all the specialist stuff(scoped paintball guns, rapidfire, etc.)

They have a massive course in a forest, with a few base-like structures.

One day, I was sitting in the middle with like four other people, all guarding entrances or windows.

It was really quiet, since the game had just begun, then, all of a sudden, somebody gets shot in the face from above.

Yeah, they'd decided to climb trees....

So I'm like screw this, and jump out of the window and run as fast as I can the other way. I didn't even get shot :P

Everyone else in the building got massacred.

Another time, I was playing sniper on a ledge, doing really well, then I hear a rustle behind me.

I turn around, theres a guy like half a meter away from me, which scared the hell outta me, I paniced and shot them in the face like 8 times (Thank god for masks  ) . Then I got shot by the other two which were a few metres behind that guy, in the bushes.

I would love to try paintball one day, but I heard it hurts like hell.

It doesn't hurt that badly. Just wear jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt (and a sweatshirt if you're really scared) and you should be fine.

I know it doesn't hurt it all if you wear layers and layers and layers of clothes, but you can't feel it at all.

Would it work to wear a t-shirt, sweatshirt, and maybe a light plastic plate armor?

Been paintballing a few times. Really enjoyed it. Once we got these dodgy helmets, kept steaming up everytime you exhaled, which is pretty sketchy at the best of times nevermind when you're in dense forest getting shot at.

Another time we went we didn't have enough people for two even teams so the marshall joined in to balance it out. We got completely obliterated by the marshall. Managed to hit my friend in the mouth (don't think it was intentional) from miles away. :P

Plate armor? What are you, from the Renaissance era?

As for me, I only went one and didn't like it. I was totally bored and could find any excitement in it whatsoever.

You know what I mean, like a plastic plate. I'll find a pic.

Though what you pictured would look cool. Knights with machine guns. Yeeeeaaah.

Edit. I mean something like this, but plastic.

You'd be fine wearing that. You probably wouldn't even need the plastic plate armor.

I love paintballing, last time I went all but 1 of my friends and I got cut off and the other team came charging down towards us - the friend that was missing promtly charged up behind the other team and started firing madly and shouting, it was pretty hilarious.

Needless to say, we lost.

But it was fun and painful in equal measures.

I want to go paintballing sometime. I can only think of about two close friends who wouldn't be scared to paintball with me, and I can only see it being fun if I had a few friends with me.

Everyone needs to paintball at least once. It doesn't hurt either, it stings so you KNOW you got hit, but it's not like you're going to be rolling on the ground in pain. It's just kinda like OW, im out, darn. Lots of people go in shorts and T-shirt, it's no biggie (unless the place you go to doesn't chrono, which the ALL do)

Only been once, played a capture the flag type thing.

Then some guys at a stag party turned up (about 20 of em) and that was really fun :P Cept they don't do the close range thing and I got hit from like a metre away right on my [wagon] :P

Doesn't really hurt though.

Paintball is rare over here due to overly strict gun issues and we don't have enough land to build houses, much less a huge paintbal arena.

Although I have handled a paintball gun on holiday(too bad it was just shooting metal cans).

Paint Balling. <3

Getting hit doesn't hurt, unless it's in the back of the neck, near your kidneys, the groin, or back of the knee. Everywhere else it's kind of an "Ow..oh wait, I'm out". It hurts for like 3 seconds, then stops as soon as you get up to leave the field. It's epic.

Heh, suprised this thread made to 2nd page quite fast :D Anyway, when i went yesterday there were me and 3 other friends hiding behind the barrels/crates. Then, about 8-10 people stormed us. One had a machine gun :( Got hit on hip, leg and arm. Friend got hit in mouth and back of head. One was out just before. The final one as soon as he saw them just lifted gun up saying hes out. Little (kitty) :D.
