July 15, 200916 yr Oh well, now PKing is next to impossible the only really fun thing left in the game is now dead :( This update basically only effected proper PKers, 26kers are uneffected as are the morons who rush you in the middle of a fight. It doesn't affect "honour" pkers that much. And the trick is useless and almost impossible. What do people gain from me losing my whip now? Nothing. Same with 4 iteming with Dharok, you'd always be risking things anyway so it wasn't effecting the drops the other person got, so people who complained about it obviously didn't understand the system. I honestly don't see what not being able to protect item was meant to achieve? the 1 itemer people now cant protect that item using the prayer now thats the reason why they skulled everyone and not letting them protect item with this prayer

July 15, 200916 yr [hide=Gf bank] not me ahahahaa[/hide] I wonder what the drop was. I'm going to milk Goon's teats
July 15, 200916 yr One-itemers were a HUGE problem in multi-way areas. They drastically affected the outcome of P2P PKRIs. That is probably the only positive to today's update.

July 15, 200916 yr Then remove protect from Melee/Range/Mage prayers too. I already risked 700k+ when I was pking with Whip and most of the time I didn't even pk close to that on each kill. PvP has NEVER been about having to risk everything, people still risked things before this update so that's not going to change for those people. It's pointless making people lose more and will draw people away from proper PvP and just leave rushers and 26kers to rule the worlds.
July 15, 200916 yr Tbh should be risking 200k, even in welfare gear you're going to risking around 200k. But depending on combat level like pures have to risk 76k since their welfare sucks. Continue to milk everyone! expect a fix in october

July 15, 200916 yr One-itemers were a HUGE problem in multi-way areas. They drastically affected the outcome of P2P PKRIs. That is probably the only positive to today's update. nope- dedicated 1 itemers won't be stopped. nothing at all will prevent them from grabbing an msb/crossbow or even a water staff and barrage runes. And for most people, a 40k dds is nothing. if the update was to try and stop multi crashing by 1 itemers it's done nothing. dedicate your idle computer power to a scientific project.
July 15, 200916 yr Funny, before this update everyone complained about inflation, now everyone complains about a crash. I oppose the update, but I'll sit back and watch Jagex shoot themselves in the foot. BTW, this doesn't stop 26king..it just changes the name, and subtracts about 200k from the profits you were seeing before. Also it changes the way you gain EP. No more actually training, but instead you have to sit around, which is what it seemed so many people opposed. It seemed like Jagex released bralwers with the hopes people would still skill on pvp worlds, giving an incentive too(gaining ep, brawlers, etc)...that has been completely revered...good or bad I dunno. People who hated 26king and instead preferred monster hunting may rejoice in this update out of stupidity. This only slightly nerfed 26king(leather to a soft plastic?), and completely nerfed monster hunting. Claws and godswords will no longer be used at the levels they used to be(however, not useless)... Whips are going to become less valueable as well. You could theorize that people will lose them in pvp, and thus making them jump in value...but I don't predict this as opposed to people only use them for non-pvp, thus hardly losing them...thus the supply is fullfilled and demand drops, along with price. Soon as I get off work, I'm gonna 76k with a friend, and post my rewards to prove that 76king is not nerfed. Hopefully you all will see the damage this has truely caused.
July 15, 200916 yr A Persons Response to the PVP update that made me LOL... I Lol'd personally after reading the entire first and second post... [hide=A RSOF Forum Post][/hide] I reccomend reading the 2nd post though. QFC: 15-16-14-59176991 Some of the responses are kind of stupid for them. I've never seen so many people say "go jagex, you stopped the pvp trick!!!!@@!@!@"... The difference now is that you risk more with a whip, but you have less worry about 1-itemers with D claws and AGS, and you're bound to get legit kills with potentially good drops since the noobs who are earning EPs with one item worth 76k or more, or even coins, are bound to lose them. I would say that you have even lesser chance of losing your whip than before. July 15, 200916 yr What ever "nuke" jagex let off for pvp they certainly missed it by several hundred miles
July 15, 200916 yr It would have been a good update for nerfing the 26k trick, but sadly it almost compleely nerfed any valuable item pking.
