15th July 2009 - PvP Changes

Am I the only one who thinks this might cause price increases? Think about it, supply of items like godswords, Dh, d-claws goes down as those who risk it lose them, while money entering the economy through artifacts continues to do so, causing inflation overall.

think about it, less people will risk d clawing in pvp now, which means there is more supply in ge and also that there is less demand which will make the prices go down to make people buy them, more demand+less quantity===high prices, this makes an item rare

Most rushers were/are in bandos, etc. They'd have lost their claws anyway. All this selling is just panic, nothing else.

lol most rushers dont even use bandos with d claws, they usually have dhide and other inexpensive armours, i didnt even use bandos with my d claws i used black dhide

Imo, they went about this the wrong way. They should have kept the "forced skull" but let people protect item unless they attack somebody who isn't their target, just like Old BH. This would have kept Brawlers from becoming obsolete, as they are now.

People are stupid. I've bolted and 76k'd twice already today. It's the EXACT SAME THING, you just have to be more careful on what you use to 76k, and you risk 50k more.

I'm amazed to see how many people quit PKing because of this update. But then again, I'm not surprised. About those claws, britian, I really do hope they'll sell. I know a large handful who bought them yesterday and now they're stuck with them. :|

I think I like it. I think it brings a lot of players onto a more equal playing field. I've never been a "great" pker. But I used to pick and choose my fights based (usually) on the armors/weapons my opponent had. I wasn't dumb enough to fight people that had bigger and better items than myself (since I'm not a rich player). If more people are risking the same small amounts of (welfare) gear, I might have a better chance of winning. And if the drops aren't nerfed, then it has a potential to gain good amounts of money for me IF, and only IF I can keep my losses to a minimum. Seems like a challenge to me.

Anyone else viewing this update like myself?

Ouch this is a another bad update.

Seriously they need to start fixing the old tweaks before they make new tweaks.

Fix the concept of 26k'ing, fix the summoning tab, fix MA, truely fix the font (its still not the original) then change other things.

They could have simply added the need to risk 26k but be holding 1m+ in items and reduce the drop rate for repeated foes. This way yes you could still trick, but PJ'ers, getting skulled and other mishaps would happen.

Instead they kill how PvP has been done for years. People have always protected items in PvP for as long as I can remember.

This kills a lot of the ecomony too people have saved for the more expensive useful items to use in PvP no theres no demand for them.

If this isn't changed fast I see AGS dropping and BGS increasing, D claws, D bow and all PvP armours and weapons will dive.

Seriously a very poor thought update :shame:

O and anyone else up for 76k tricking? jk

Yeah i tricked right after the update and got 800k in stuff including zurials mage bottoms. I doubt this nerfed the drops any. But its made getting ep quite difficult.

On the other end, I think you won't see many peope using the trick because its just so nerve racking to get ep now.

Yep it's the exact same for 26kers.. or should i say 76kers, basically make it harder for pkers, give the farmers in pvp worlds a bucket to milk it with

Let's talk about the Dragon Claws....

Dragon Claws were mostly used by PJers.

This update doesn't change anything for PJers because they were risking their claws already in the first place. They can still wear their pro bandos tank outfit and protect melee and tele out, or just eat alot.

I don't see why people want to get rid of their claws..just panicing..If you want claws; don't wait to long

+ Saxon is right :P

Oh, I didn't even notice this bit:

YOU CANNOT LOG INTO A BH WORLD WITHOUT BEING IN A SAFE ZONE.

What kind of [bleep]ing drugs were they using? Returning is going to be a real [bleep] now, seeing as many people used GDZ tele to get back. And how are you supposed to hop to find an empty world? Ugh.
