Danqazmlp
Shoot 'em Up?!?! SERIOUSLY? Thats by far the most [developmentally delayed] movie i've watched in my life. Waste of my time. Sorry but IMO, your list sucks. Leaves out some big holes....maybe its the time they came out/age....idk. Heres my list in no order...i'm sure there are more... Saving Private Ryan Death Sentence - Kevin Bacon goes insane in this one. FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) Apocalypse Now Braveheart Platoon Gladiator The Matrix Series Jurassic Park Black Hawk Down Indiana Jones Star Wars The Hurt Locker - Very new so i need to watch it a few more times first, but i'll go ahead and throw it in. If you want to count miniseries count Band of Brothers. And might as well count the one coming up "The Pacific". :) It's movies, so it's all up to the individuals opinion. In my opinion, alot of the movies on your list aren't what i consider action films. They have some action in them, but are mainly in another genre. And from a pure entertainment and action POV, Shoot em up is a great film. Want to be my friend? Kriegsmier
It is an opinion you are right, thats why i said "IMO" your list sucks. Btw, every movie i listed is categorized under the Action genre according to IMDb. I don't see how you can say Shoot em up was such a great film. It was not entertaining at all for an action movie. Sorry but a great film to me does not gross just over $26 million worldwide (Obiv i'm not the only one) and consist of a guy using a carrot as a weapon. The Boondock Saints, Smokin' Aces. Danqazmlp
The amount of money a film makes isn't a true show of how good a film is though. No country for old men, grossed over $160m according to wikipedia, but personally i thought it was an incredibly boring and slow film. Shoot em up is just a fun film, it has tons of acion which is very fast paced, fairly brutal, and has some funny moments. Want to be my friend? das
I own 7/10 movies on your list. 2 of which I plan to buy when I can find a good deal. But I must say...WTF. Die hard is a #1 on my list, but i'm suprised by the abscence of the bourne bourne triology I wont debate you on Con-air, it's good, I like cage, but it's not a top 10 to me, maybe top 30. Shoot em up - is vastly over the top, but Monica Belluci makes me happy. It's on my buy list. Here is where I go wtf. Die Hard 3 over die hard 1? Die Hard 1 is a classic, that to me is much more believable, action packed and better quality. I'm not sure how this movie cracks a top 10, let alone a top 50. Hulk 2008 is good, I enjoyed it - but again, this over Ironman, Watchmen , Batman Begins/knight, spiderman 1 & 2, Punisher, Hellboy, Sin City, V for vendetta? Uh...No Under Seige in no way is a top 10, it's good, personally I liked segal in exit wounds more, but again, it seems like a long reach 300 - Overrated - Kingdom of heaven, Arthur are much better in terms of action value. Goldeneye - Over moonraker, golden gun and other classics? Uh. Total recall seems reallllly high too. I'm going to do my top 50 action now. das
Top 50 action in order - by Das (too lazy to do 50 descriptions) I'm also doing movies i own , because I cant rate a movie I haven't seen For classification purposes if dvdaf lists it as action-adventure it's fair game. Because I can I may list some series together as one - if I feel they make a good back to back to back viewing. 1. Die Hard 2. Braveheart 3. The Bourne Trilogy 4. Watchmen 5. Gladiator 6. Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom 7. Bullitt 8. Kill Bill, Volume 1, 2 (putting these together) 9. The Rock 10. The Fugitive 11. Goldfinger 12. The Boondock Saints 13. My list wasn't a top 10, just 10 randomly placed in an order, i think i replaced something where die hard 3 is which is why it looks like i've put it over the first film. I admit, i should have probably said that. And just for the  you put goldeneye over moonraker aswell. And When you say Arthur over 300, was that the one with Clive Owen? Personally i was really dissapointed in that film, i'm not sure why, but i really disliked it, maybe it's because the battles felt too small for my liking, but as i say, i'm really unsure why, but i just didn't like it. And yeah, i totally forgot the Bourne series when i wrote my list, not sure how. Want to be my friend? das
I really liked King arthur (yes the clive owen one) Hell of a popcorn flick even if it had lots of inaccuracies with the source. I thought it was a creative way to interpret the story and I found it to be pretty action packed. National tresure - i'm a nic cage [bleep] myself, I even liked ghost rider. I really enjoy those movies and they are one of the few i buy the day of release. Edit: I got to thinking that goldeneye was more actionay than raker and golden gun - Brosnan was a [cabbage] bond compared to moore and connery though "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. Danqazmlp
I'll join you in the Nicholas Cage Fan-ism, i really need to see the first national treasure, atm, i've only seen the second. Just out of curiosity Das, you said you own 7/10 of the film i listed, and plan to buy 2. Can i ask which one you aren't buying? Want to be my friend? das
Under Siege. Segal I just dont care for that much. But Dirty Harry and Shoot em up are glaring holes in my collection. (Especially harry) "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. Dexek
A nice list. I think it's too difficult to simply make a list of 10. I'd throw in some Bourne movies, multiple movies with Jason Statham, 007 movies, Chuck Norris, Steven Segal, etc.. Although, my definition of "Action" is likely very broad. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape

TheStandIn
Predator Fight Club Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Aliens Minority Report Patriot Games Spy Games Clear and Present Danger Thunderball The Great Escape (one of my favorite movies) Behind Enemy Lines These are by no means the best and in no particular order. I'm just trying to add stuff people haven't already posted (I hope, I just kinda skimmed) so this doesn't get too redundant.
PumpkinPete112
I kinda of agree, I deff think you need a Bourne movie (pref Ulitmatum) and Kingdom of Heaven, but most of all THE BOONDOCK SAINTS Sig

nerdboyxxx
Bro you read my mind; seen all those movies, and love them! Total Recall, Die Hard's and 300 are my favourites though. Bourne Movies are all great, have them all!
unkn0wnwarrior
I'd have to say the Die Hards and Lethal Weapons make up a large portion of my top 10. Although I'm not a big fan of a lot of action movies. I was surprised to find I like Lethal Weapon, to be honest. I'm not sure what other 2 I would pick, though. Harakiri
John Woo's Hardboiled is one of my favorite action movies ever. It was amazing. Taken's ending was lame...I was hoping for a much more action-packed ending, but it came to a close too fast. Taken was pretty good. The punisher 2004 was pretty sweet, The Mummy was good, Kill Bill and James Bond movies are all great.
