I completely understand the desire to "complete the game." It's a dream goal/personal accomplishment rather than an attempt to live up to the standards of others (and for most people, getting cash via donations is not up to standard) or get "e-famous." Ranks are nice, but they just come along the way. If you play purely for fame and "rank 1," you'll end up either loosing all interest because there is nobody left to "pass" or quitting when you loose "rank 1" because you've associated your entire identity on the game with that "number 1" and you can't let go of it even after you quit. I used to have this desire for completion as well, but with the recent events that've been occuring, it's becoming clear to me which direction this game is really headed. I don't even know how much longer it's going to be around. It really is a race against Jagex as opposed to other players, which makes donations even more understandable.

Yeah exactly, it's my personal goal and my way of trying to "complete the game". I would be happy if I could hide my name from hiscores if I could still see my Xps/progress in game stats myself. I have never played games just to get respect, I play for my own enjoyment. I have played so many other games than rs, most of them didn't have any ranking system or anything like that. I still enjoyed them a lot.

 

I respect and try to be nice to other people though, imo it makes the game even more enjoyable.

SUOMI if you play 12 hours a day when do you ever get outside though? 360 Hours in a month means you averaged almost 12 hours per day, including the weekends. This surely doesn't give you much time to maintain a social life, does it?

Seriously though, if people cant come to a runescape fan site without being insulted over their playing time/donations, I think thats pretty stupid. And to contribute to the donations debate (my apologies to the horse) the only difference between receiving donations and dicing is that people are voluntarily giving you money in a donation, when dicing, people dont want to lose (obv), so in that sense donations are more respectable than dicing, in my eyes.

I have enough time for social life, thank you for your corcern. I don't need hundreds of friends, I am happy with few close friends.

 

Anyways imo everyone can choose what kind of social life they want.

Well said, that's what I think too. Merchanting is kind of taking advantage of other people too. But like I said, everyone can play how they want.

I belive that suomi plays like 50hrs and then sleep like 12-15 hours + cycling. And then repeat

Hahaha I have never done that and not going to =P

 

I can't say any exact hours for how much I sleep or play a day because I am human and every day is different. Some days I am awake 12 hours and then I sleep 12 hours, some days 16 hours awake and then sleep 10 hours. I sleep whenever I am tired, I don't count the hours. I can't remember when I last time slept less than 8 hours and I guess I sleep too much but I love it. Never used alarm in the last 4 years so I always sleep as long as possible.

 

I have no idea why people think I play 17-20 hours a day. I have gained less than 25M Slayer Xp this month and I get over 70K Slayer Xp/h when using effigies on slayer. So that means I have played about 360 hours this month. I know that's a lot too but nowhere near 17 or 20 hours a day... it's actually about 12 hours a day. I don't know why people need to exaggerate everything. Anyways why it's so important to know how many hours I play a day?

Actually Suomi, standing at the GE typing prices in for 800 hours per day is much more skilled than being so nice to people and so dedicated to your goal that people donate out of kindness. Actually.
