We all remember super energy pots. useful for long trips (herb rounds) and agility. They restored 20% of energy. Rest option made them less used.

 

I just noticed that they now restore 40% of your energy, double the old amount.

 

 

 

Have you noticed this and what do you think of it?

When they released rest they announced along side it that all the pots etc were doubled or more in what they restored....

You don't really need them anymore, since energy restores so fast now. I've used maybe 5 pots total since the update, for astral crafting/penguins.

As d jay said above me, as long as you aren't doing solid running in heavy armor (which you shouldn't be doing), they are useless. I happened to have around a thousand of them when the price plummeted, but oh well.

Pots came they were used

 

 

 

Terrorbirds came, pots became mostly redudant.

 

 

 

Rest came pots even more redudant and terrorbirds less useful as energy givers

I got mine out before they dropped to a 1/3 of their value. :

I still use 2-dose super energy potions when runecrafting. Gets you back 80% of your energy without any real time lost. V-useful when doing fast rc like Astrals/ZMI.

I still use restore energy pots.. I can be pretty impatient sometimes, so I hate resting.. I always bring a few during treasure trails, so it's definitely a plus.

Try resting during Summer's End boss fight when things are attacking you...I'd rather take a pot instead of getting smacked around like a rag doll any day of the week. So yes, energy pots still have its purpose, just got to find them.

im glad I let go ofmine when I did, although as has already been mentioned if you're running around in armor for some reason they still have a use

Only way it could be useful is if you're training rc and you're using like Graahk or Abyssal lurker while on the same time have pretty low agility level.

You're 99 and don't realise that negative weight does absolutely nothing to your run energy? (Apologies if you do)

Some potions have very few uses now, Super Energy included, but that doesn't mean that they're completely useless all the time. I'd bring one to a particularly lengthy quest, seeing how cheap they are now (678gp on August 26).

Terror Birds restore more energy, they are cheaper, they stack, AND they can carry some of your items.

 

All energy pots are useless once you get high enough summoning.

You realize your run drains at the same rate below 0? So there is no difference beteween -35kg and 0 kg?

I use the pots quite often, I love these things. They help you run around Wilderness in bounty world.

I believe that super energy pots would only be used in areas where familiars cannot be summoned as the terrorbird is far more efficient.
