March 5, 201214 yr Jagex has already dealt serious blows to the F2P community. The removal of the highscores was one of the worst things to happen. In hindsight, it would appear that that was one of many blows to follow. Jagex is openly trying to destroy the F2P community as far as I can tell. It is unlikely that there will be any more new players who decide to be purely F2P from this point on, which is a sad thing. Through the course of many years the F2P commnunity developed into something wonderful, and now it is being snuffed out in the name of profits. I am very dissapointed with the direction that Runescape is heading. Will Runescape itself die out from these actions? No. However the F2P game which I and many others have loved through the years is clearly spriraling into oblivion. My perspective may seem overly negative, however I truly see this as the shape of things to come. We have not seen the end of this quest to extinguish the F2P game.I share your view. It is indeed very sad to see the F2P game dying. It's the community I will miss, not so much the actual gameplay. Fishing at karmaja just shot up in people number, I would usually see 5-6 people, currently over 20. The price on nearly everything(airs, food, ores) is falling and has been for at least a week, I think it is more than just some bxp clearance sale.Maybe Jagex is allowing the bots? Or just ignoring them until after Bxpw? Just a thought.
March 5, 201214 yr Maybe Jagex is allowing the bots? Or just ignoring them until after Bxpw? Just a thought. So you think they are allowing bots to keep prices down despite the increase of Bxpw and prevent the get-rich-quick scheme of buying and selling unneeded materials from taking effect? Just a thought. So you think they are allowing bots to keep prices down despite the increase of Bxpw and prevent the get-rich-quick scheme of buying and selling unneeded materials from taking effect?None of those reasons. If it is true that Jagex is actually ignoring them, I think it would be because of making sure that the P2P players get their materials. It's just a theory. I was just thinking if they could hold of the bots since the Bot Nuke why are they not able to keep them away anymore? It's not like the bots have steadily increased since the Bot Nuke, it seems more like a sudden change.

March 7, 201214 yr I wonder if at least part of the reason f2p can not get use clan citadels is because of the botting situation. My initial reaction to closed-bar citadels was that Jagex just wanted to pressure f2pers in a different manner, clan pressure.Bots in f2p do not make Jagex money, and I am sure if citadels were f2p some clans would be crawling with citadel bots.

March 13, 201214 yr Anyone with experience rune mining? If so, would you please elaborate on how it's like and whether or not it's worth doing at 85 mining? Just wondering cuz I wanna do it ^.^ Also: Note, a sk friend of mine got 99 dg the same time I got that. :) BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
March 13, 201214 yr I used to mine runite in the wilderness, and that was how I made my initial stockpile of cash. But since then my interest has waned, so I haven't kept up. I did try the safe mining spot unlocked by Dungeoneering, but there were too many bots there... "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." March 14, 201214 yr I found rune mining tedious.Hop into random world, lobby, next one on the list, lobby, repeat ~5 times, find rune start mining, write down world and time, back to step one. Mix in pkers come and attack, and the occasional extra person taking an ore or two. You will be doing quite a bit of nothing for the majority of the mining. Scouts are probably recommended, and speeds up step one.
March 14, 201214 yr I use 2 lv3 scouts and start from either world 1 or the last one. Hopping world takes no more than 10 seconds, 15 to be sure no one is around. Then log out and log into main, mine the ores and log out. You can get quite the amount of ores in 30 min. I mine usually 20-24, with food in inventory then just walk down to lv 20 wild and tele. I combine rune mining with flipping and I usually make no less than 200k per flip so in a single run I make ~400k.
March 16, 201214 yr Hello again.:DI've been on a break for a few months now. Started playing again 2 days ago. I'm currently getting my combat to 90 by switching between cockroaches, giant spiders and fog. While I haven't logged in, I've been following the updates and this forum too. Now that is bxpw, in the completely hypothetical situation that a future bxpw is f2p, would you welcome it? And what would you train?I'm pretty sure I'd do prayer the 2.7x -2x period. yeah. Can't think of what I would train after.

March 17, 201214 yr I would not welcome a f2p bxpw as I feel it devalues skills, messes the economy and promotes a "get 99 as fast as possible and don't care about others" attitude. In the hypothetical event of a f2p bxpw I would probably train smith or rc. Are there any new training methods with the lodestone update or are they just going to be used for general transportation?
March 17, 201214 yr If you're sufficiently inventive, the loadstones could be helpful. Fire rune running might be a bit faster now, for example. You also get a free teleport very close to places such as Port Sarim (although Karamja already has a noting service), so maybe it could be used to return faster after a banking trip. March 17, 201214 yr The edgeville one is really useful. You can sell stuff at the bank. Use the monastery to heal, pray and cockroaches & sos is nearby. Also 9,999,999 total xp.:D
March 17, 201214 yr The edgeville one is really useful. If one can afford it, the Edge teleport is also useful for doing body tiara runs. ~I Am A Bahai~.:100% F2P for life:.
March 18, 201214 yr What makes me really happy about the lodestone update (it's spelt lodestones, people! ;o) is that as a level 3 skiller, I can basically use teleports without raising my magic level. Prior to the update, skillers only had Daemonheim, clan vexillum, Lumbridge home tele and canoes as transportation. Now you can basically roam anywhere with your home tele spots. Should've tried playing on a lvl 3 skiller even before the Lumbridge home tele. ;) Member skillers still had tele tabs, but nonmembers...well, at least all that walking made them fit. :D ~I Am A Bahai~.:100% F2P for life:.
March 19, 201214 yr I have basically quit Runescape but ilogged on quickly just now. There is now this stupid feature called the squeal of fortune? Which seems to be one of the worst members gimmicks ever; majoirty of items are p2p and it explicitly tells you that p2p get 2 spins a day. How far have Jagex sunk?

I personally don't care about the P2P-shoving; I feel like they already hit the crux by removing us from the hiscores, so I figure that most anything else they can do afterwards kind of pales in comparison as far as their douchebaggery is concerned. I myself definitely can't complain about the wheelI've won 2 rune longs, a 2h, and the 10k prize six times so far. ;) ~I Am A Bahai~.:100% F2P for life:.
