K4ylan
That cyclopean helmet from Warrior's Guild is free to play. :P Oddly enough. Yeah, but that was always F2P, just obtainable only in P2P. It's always neat to find something new in F2P. As to wormy's question, the level 30 DG resource dungeon added maple trees for F2P to cut. EggsYoke
Hey guys, I'm not really active on the fourm but of recent I have became p2p after four years as a ftp (on and off). But anyway I have been looking at runetraxx and have found an account ''ftp only'' he is most likely to be the first maxed f2p skiller (he has crafting and dungeoneeting to go). He's xp gains are quite incredibly for an ftp due to the cost of his training methods,(he gained over 2m crafting xp yesterday). He seems to have come out of no where lol. Who knows him? He is almost certainly either previously been p2p or a bot. I have no idea how someone could stay under the radar for as long as he has. At any rate, Rie---Xie--X is still probably just as close to maxing (also Mss Klercken).

I think they announced that it was going to be replaced with something else, but they didn't say what it was specifically. All the gravite weapons are better than the rune scimitar, but the longsword really isn't worth getting. Gravite 2h is only good for KOing; otherwise the rapier beats it for general training. And unless you're PKing, the longbow sight isn't that great. Shortbows have the same max hit and are faster. Anyone doing heavy training will be training on monsters with neglible defense, so the extra accuracy isn't needed. If you do any PKing, though, the sight is definitely worth the tokens in f2p.

Miner_Guy
Kk i will probs go for magical blastbox and arcane, then maybe tome of frost, im not really a pker so i doubt ill use gravite weapons because they seem expensive for training normally. Will h'ween masks ever come down or will they just keep shooting up? Tec106
The rares market just keeps on getting worse for those players that don't have them. The rares market generally stays within the people who are already in it (these days, at least) Kinda silly. The fact that nobody understands you doesn't mean you're an artist. Fire_Hawk154
No need to discuss whether a Sighted bow is better for training than a maple shortbow. The answer is very simple: the maple shortbow gives more xp/h  About the 100K tokens mentioned before (not gonna quote all that text :P) If you do PK or Clan Wars, you should deffinately get a sighted bow. It hits much better on players than a shortbow, even if they have 99 def. Personally I would rather go for a gravite weapon than a tome of frost/blastbox. The tome of frost has a nice magic bonus, but which often used spells require water runes? The Blastbox is nice, but when I use magic I prefer a shield, since magic robes have barely any defence. If you have to choose between gravite, I would choose the Rapier if you are more focussed on training, and G2H if you want to use it for PK. Or just get both :-P.The recharge costs aren't really high imo and they don't degrade fast. Just keep training until level 82, than you'll have most usefull rewards

wormy
Blastbox or tome of frost or training? I think we talked about it earlier, as a sum up. With rune prices the way they are (dirt cheap) fire bolt with blastbox is better xp/hr and gp/xp than water bolt(with tome+air staff). Tome to me has 1 use, the spell bones to bananas. Personally with nature prices at less than 140 I would alch or superheat iron.

Youmu
I'm really wondering if fractite platebody is even worth a 3rd bind at all. I mean it has defense which is useful, yes, but the higher your defense/constitution the less useful it becomes, even less so if you know how to trap/kite and prayer flash. Not to mention, it weighs nearly 10kg which is pretty damn significant in f2p, with no agility and all that. If pures are able to handle their way with even lower defense, why even consider armor binds for us mains... Just throwing this out there. Just throwing this out there. Its probably been half a year since I've seriously dunged, but my defense level is atrocious. When I wasn't with skillers or was with the general public, the plate made a huge difference in that I wouldn't die when running into a room with 5+ level 40 or higher guardians. Unfortunately it didn't make a hoot of difference when faced with a T11 mercenary... 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
Kaida23
Mine isn't all that great either, but I've been finding that almost any type of tier 4/5 armor makes a big difference. I've also been using magic a lot more since they introduced the blastboxes, and a platebody really seems to hinder that. Personally, I find that a Kratonite plateskirt and a Roseblood top are easy to get and make a good combo for soloing C6's. Considering how easy it is to get tier 4 gear, if your defense is high enough the platebody probably isn't worth using a bind on. Maybe you should go for a Spinebeam Longbow, Sonic. I recall saying something along those lines somewhere in this thread... Except, the only reason almost everyone has armor bound by the time they're over 100 is theres no special offensive gear like in p2p. I'd agree that armor isn't necessary and I wouldn't bind a plate for a 2nd bind, but I can't think of any f2p items that would beat it for a 3rd. If you're really totally against the plate you could try a staff if you're a blastboxer or 2nd bow (i.e. shortbow if you already have a long) just to have extra versatility. I'd say gaunts are too low str to use a bind on, but thats always another option. Try a rapier/2h combo. Or a rapier/maul combo, but Idk how well the rapier is at slashing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure spear is better dps than all 3 of those in almost every f2p situation.
