Thanks for the re-assurance as that's what I did. But I also got 71 strength due to the strenght doors, so I'm going to get 70 attack, 75 strength and whatever hp that brings me out to (should be 88 combat according to the tip.it calculator).

Had a pretty nice small run today. One small, a sk said he had to afk for 1 min and "soz if you guys get emote room". 3 rooms later, guess what? Emote room. I LMFAO'd.

Lol... I got called a w7 for having like 71 dungeoneering -.- in w61.

Man. Knowing that a skill is half-done xp-wise sure makes me feel accomplished. I have came so far already, I'm not giving up on the last few million xp! :thumbsup:

I think everyone was pretty excited about their first 99, and mine was Strength, got it when I was training with ice giants in the cave back in the old days. I was pretty nervous at the time because I want to make sure I screen shot it in time so I don't miss that "you achieve lvl 99 screen". In the old days, it's gone due some other commands being done, its gone. I had to turn off my chat and stuff so I got no distraction. I only tell couple of close friends that I finally got a 99, and after receiving a few congratulatory comments, I moved on to my next skill.

 

The only one I ever invite people (2 at that time) to a lvl 99 party, was FM. It was with my FM buddy and another friend, which we promised that we will meet up if one of us got lvl 99 FM. They gave me 10k each for my achievement as gift (which I did the same when they got FM 99 as well).

 

Nowadays, even when I got another lvl 99 achieved, I don't really have that sense of accomplishment anymore, probably due to the easier training method (except prayer and RC, and DG). Then again, it still amount to something with harder skills, and perhaps I might have a bigger party when I got all the skill 99 (and the stupid dg 120), then the sense of accomplishment would return.

Looking at several posts from the forum, I realize there are actually quite a lot of merchant (F2P and P2p alike) make tons of money by flipping and trading rares. Was there a mention of any F2P that has a very impressive bank? One of close friend I have work very hard to get his yellow Phat, and getting those in the old days around 06 was no small feat. Fast forward couple of years, now apparently he has several set of H' Masks and is wondering if he should keep merchanting or start buying raw materials for training. I was totally stunned when he told me he made like 300mil in couple days........ I made third of that in 5 years time (of course, without merchant).

99 HP. Was the same feeling as any other level-up. 99s = overrated and pretty irrelevant as a pure f2p. It's pretty much the same as 98, just 1.3m higher.

My first level 99 skill was woodcutting, it just sort of happened after cutting logs for awhile. Good times.

 

Mine was mining, and boy did it feel good. I deliberately got one of the hardest F2P 99s out of the way so that it would basically be smooth sailing from there on out. I got smithing a couple of months ago, but it didn't feel that satisfying, and that's a really sad thought considering 99 smithing was one of my main goals when I first started to seriously play Runescape in 2004. Back then, the thought of being able to make full rune seemed really enticing. I know one top F2Per, Bromotoffis, used to literally fill out bulk orders for warring clansthey would specify how many sets of full rune their clan needed, he'd make them, and would get paid a hefty sum. That thought just seems so dated and picturesque now...hardly realistic. And I have a feeling the rest of my 99s will feel the same waywhich is a depressing thoughtprobably due to the game's ever-increasing efficiency factor, as Lordrexrules noted on the Top 250 F2P List thread.

 

But going back to mining for a bit: I'm really glad I got it when I did. I literally mined iron ore from about 70 to 84 mining (the small wildy mine directly north of Edgeville), and from 84 to 99 I mined coal in the mining guild. I didn't powermine at all and banked all my ores (which served to form most of my cashpile, and probably played a big role in the feeling of relief I got when mining was over). I got 99 mining in October 2010; I had been mining in a Brazilian PvP world for over a year, because even then the other worlds were overrun with bots. If it had taken me longer than February 2011, I would have been out of luck, because that's when PvP worlds were removed. I probably would have just tried foreign worlds and hoped to get lucky with a sparsely populated mining guild.

I've been ~300k strength xp from 99 for the past few months. Haven't wanted to train my account since I have members on another. Will probably get strength from dungeoneering though.

Could this be the fastest xp/time ever?

 

3:58, 11095 xp, f29 small no deaths. This equates to around 165k xp/hr.

Really nice Sonic - you're getting better every day :P Here are my best - 147kph for large and a 167kph small (I think I may have gotten higher - I never really check anymore). I'm sure Nuff haxed for like 300+kph once (there's a post a few pages back)

Hey guys, as you know, the Order of Cabbage (if you still remember them) is hitting it's 7th year old on RS. The cult is hosting the biggest event it's had in it's years in Gielinor.

there is very little possible improvement, perfect scenario would be only doors, 10 roomer and rammernaut as boss where you hit perfectly and that on f29, this might result in 9,5k-10k at max in under 2min

 

in that small i had 10 rooms and rammernaut as boss and no guardian doors, only key doors and easy and fast tk doors

 

 

180k/h+ on a small is pretty common with karl :)
