Mischlings
Other than making a couple thousand potions during the event, I don't plan on doing much specifically for it. I'll let the whole world get worked up into a frenzy while I just play how I normally do -- doing whatever I feel like at the moment. It's not that big of a deal -- everyone gets the faster xp, either you use it or you don't, get off your high horse and play the game as it goes. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.
Jeffery
Is it just me, or are summoning supplies already unattainable at the GE. I don't know why either they could end up with the 1.1x ? 180th to 99 Divination + 1st W36er Rambo, cannot pk call your friends bro :). Wait nevermind none of SAPK/PKS can. Kappa. DarkDude
Is it just me, or are summoning supplies already unattainable at the GE. Which is why this sucks, I was going to get 88 summoning this weekend, but nope, can't do that now =/. Jagex REALLY didn't think this through. Nothing is going to buyable for the next two weeks. Obtaurian
I'm either going to do runecrafting or agility. I don't have the money for herblore supplies, and slayer spots will be extremely crowded. I'll probably go with agility for the first few hours, cause it literally kills me to train that skill. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Yeah, first thing I did was go get some granite so I could get 83. That way I'll go get Abyssal charms to make Lava Titant pouches. Now that I think about it, fi they're going through with this, I want them to have an ulterior motive. It's better than the alternative which is they're doing it for the hell of it. DarkDude
I probably won't even take advantage of this at all, as I'm working that weekend. So basically I'll have to suffer not being able to buy anything for the next two weeks + higher prices of things for no benefit. Awesome. I wouldn't mind if this didn't effect me in a negative way. I don't complain about updates much but this just seems pointless to me (and the time I'll spend playing that weekend probably won't be on anything like herblore, probably be spent on slayer on slayer or something, which is what I'd be doing normally). Obtaurian
Seriously, if you don't like changes you can always play runescape classic This. I'm looking forward to the double experience weekend. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
Kimberly
The fact that they're doing this and slowly becoming just like any other MMORPG is disappointing. I draw direct benefit as a player. They even went to great pains to make this fair. I am aware of that. But it still doesn't feel right. In the pit of my gut, I have an irrational fear that one day we'll end up like Maplestory, or something. Or worst, Conquer Online. (AUGHGHHHHH) But like I said: it's all irrational, with no facts to back it up. I'm just sad. Here's hoping that over time, I'll be proven wrong. Their motive is obviously to get more people during this weekend, in a big skilling fest. But no, people are gonna worry about the economy, then about everything. Just get playing Classic, you'll be able to stop whining about every single update. Seriously, get over it, every time I see one of your posts, you're not happy with what's happening. Vann
Dang, its the first day of my Spring Break, but maybe I can use my time up before I leave. I'll use my charms and hopefully get 88 Summoning then go for 88 Herblore while Farming trees on the side. If I get all that done then I'll use the rest burning Magic logs to try for 92 Firemaking and that lovely Adze! peace,Vann
zotto
I think I will just play like I always do. Seems a bit pointless to do stupid skills just for the sake of extra experience.
Fools_Taco
They are doing this to clean out the game of gathered things like herbs, bones, seeds whatever because they will more then likely be useful for the new skill.

Truth be told this thing is worrying to me as it seems like a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. And JS, I want to know why they want people on that weekend. If they had a sneaky reason, I'd feel much better. Maybe they're trying to max the number of players for a 3 day period for some reason. I wouldn't like them using this experience thing to do that, but I'd like better than the alternative of doing it for the hell of it. I think too many people are blinded by the prospect of free experience. Edited February 26, 2010 by lady_ninane Quote removed This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. It could come out on the Monday after that. Or just for the fun of seeing a lot of people at training spots.... Or to give people a chance to raise costly -or boring- skills up faster. And some skills are meant and were designed to be costly and/or slow. Now is the hardly the time to do this, and if they're so so concerned about them being expensive or boring, they need to rebalance them, not just double your experience for a couple of hours one weekend. Unknown_Warrior
Herblore and cheap xp or Summoning with epic xp? Maximusa
Mmm its a good update an all but would of preferred it during free trade. Its going to be a huge annoyance buying anything for regular activity. They seem a little nieve on the effect it will have but its still worth while to do. I dont think its worth while doing herblore unless you already had the supplies. Its going to probably cost more once you get any of the supplies. Probably stick to the slow skills that dont matter if other people are training it No particular reason why anything will go cheaper than current prices afterwards. People will continue to train normally. Just more so during those hours. So I guess its depending on the nature of the skill. Some things will drop but others ganna just be more expensive. Be lots of fish and runes coming in but loads of herbs going out. Not enough to cover whats coming in even with slayer or even farming.. Need to remember to cash in my kingdom. Nearly 1 and half years worth haha. I didnt for the pot update as I wasnt around but this is even better. I think I will runecraft for the fun factor. Must be loads of others at the same time. Need to practice as I havnt trained that in years. Dont even need much ess since its only 10 hours... Grimy_Bunyip
I am in your debt sir, thank you! I wasn't far off using the old noggin either  *Goes off to see how many potions i need to make for 99 herblore" Edit: I believe you can make around 1600 potions per hour from unfinished, so 16k potions in the first 10 hours. I'l be doing brews as i'm not too clued up on the newer ones and i can sell these on again afterwards. So 1.69 * 180xp = 304.216k * 304.2 = 4867200Add my current xp = around 7.4m13m-7.4m = 5.6mxp left.1.1 * 180 = 198.5,600,000 / 198 = around 29k (rounded up to give a bit of leverage on the above calcs)So 45k saradomin brews to get me to 99 herb hopefully. Not bad considering that would normally be 8.1m xp, and on this weekend if my calculations are corrent will yield around 10.5m, an extra 2.4m herb xp for free. I hate the idea of extra xp weekends, but hell i masewell make use of it :thumbsup:the number you are looking for is 3000 unf potions -> potions @ absolute maximum speed without rapidly making different types of potions within your inventory simultaneously2200 unf potions -> potions per hour is more reasonable I doubt it would actually be in a constant evolution, though.... Maybe replace t by [t]this is true, but nobody likes summations </
