IIRC Ricochet was a mod project that they just included in certain packs.

* The game takes place hundreds of years after the original. Hence why the Apature centure looks a lot like a jungle possibly.

* GlaDOS returns as the main villain, with the subject from the last game, Chell, coming back to be the protagonist.

* The co-op campaign is separate from the main story in the game. It lets you play as two bipedal robots.

* Those personality cores thrown into the fire at the end of the last game? Theyve shut off areas of the Apature lab and made it their own.

* Physics has a bigger role this time, with one demo showing a portal could be used from an air vent to suck air from one area to an another.

* Reflection cubes will be added to the game for laser-based puzzles.

* Valve had no idea Portal 1 would be so big.

* The original Portal was seen as a test bed. The sequel will be a fully fledged title.

I read the scans, as well as I could..

 

-A personality core revives you and asks for help, he helps you through the challenges and awakens GLaDOS by mistake.

-Game takes place after Half Life Anything (so clearly Freeman wins, we don't need E3 now :( )

-GLaDOS will use her "sexy" voice (the one she uses at the end of the first game)

-Co-op, you play as two robots, one modded from a core, another from a turret. They each shoot their own separate portals (no mention of the color) and the coop campaign is either parallel or has nothing to do with the single player campaign.

-Still Alive 2

 

Awesome, would have preferred Episode 3 but meh this is still good. Still plenty of time for them to announce an Orange Box 2 :P

Finally beat Portal, like 10 mins ago. Pretty awesome.

FINALLY! Portal is the only game steam ever did right. Besides Half life, and TF2 lol. But I don't play those anymore, only Portal.

I'm going back and replaying that [bleep] that was Portal. I loved it.

Even though Portal 2 has been officially announced, it seems the clever Alternate Reality Game which gave it impetus hasn't yet come to a complete stop. Shortly after accepting a Pioneer Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards in San Francisco on Thursday evening, Valve boss Gabe Newell launched into a slideshow detailing the company's expectations of future trends, only to have it "crash" to a blue error screen.

 

The final slide was meant to answer several infamous Valve mysteries -- Who is the G-Man? Why doesn't Valve support the PlayStation 3? -- and perhaps it did in some obfuscated way. According to seasoned ARG sleuths (posting on the Penny Arcade forums), the error code above can be read as: "S U S : P E N D ... U N T ( I ) L ... E E E." Suspend until E3?

 

It wouldn't be surprising to see Portal 2 at this year's E3 expo, which will run in Los Angeles from June 15 to 17, but if the above decryption is accurate Valve may have additional plans to unfurl (possibly including the long-awaited Half-Life 2: Episode 3).

My favorite part of Portal was that it was a low commitment game. It's only like two hours long, but your mind is kept busy for those two hours which is what made it a good game. Making it a full retail game sounds pretty risky. Still interested to try it out though.

That trailer made me 10x more excited for Portal 2.

 

This and LBP2 are at the top of my list of games to buy.
