Dax
Where you live has a significant influence on who you are as a person. Good or bad. Alot of times, both. I'm from the suburbs, but after college I'm thinkin of moving to The Big Apple, cause the city life is the life for me. I would never move to the country, because big open spaces of nothing kinda freak me out, and I like being near crap loads of people. Complete opposite to me. I hate cities and I hate being near heaps of people. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
fastortoise
I live in Montreal, the greatest city in the world, and I like it :)I was strolling along downtown the other day and thought "Holy [bleep] there's a lot of chicks in this city" (me, a guy who has been accustomed to good looking people being everywhere all my life). That and even the enormous immigrant population is as into hockey as everybody else, it's amazing <3:

das1330
Where I live is pleasant, but boring. As a suburb of a larger town, crime is extremely low and schools are very good, but it's just not a terribly interesting place to live (at least compared to our summer house in San Diego CA). The town the suburb is attached to is very economically depressed, but it doesn't affect where I live much since most jobs here are in professional services and high tech manufacturing. Flodder450
for the first 5 years of my life, ilived in a suburb of Veenendaal in 2000, we moved to Holwierde here in town, its pretty dull, when i was little, i loved the silence and the space you have around here, jumping over ditched, buiding huts out of reed in the slopes of ditches, biking, making fires in the forest (:twss:) man, it was fun  now im in my teens, i still come outside, but only because i dont want to spend my whole day on the computer :P i honestly dont want to move but i want to go work at a video game developer studio, so i think ill move to probably the UK in the future  99 Firemaking 30-5-2010 | 99 Fletching 13-7-2014 TET-AU member:6-10-2010 - 21-10-2011
Lemeja
I Didn't know there were so many Minnesotans... I lived in St Paul, MN for most of my life. The area was fairly decent compared to most large cities in this country. I lived near just about everything too there was a small shopping area within walking distance, and if that was enough a larger shopping mall was just a quick bus ride away. Then I moved to the suburbs a couple years ago and I have to say I absolutely hate it. If you aren't born in the suburbs, its hard to just be thrown in and force yourself yo find things to do. The funny thing is, its only about 15-20 minutes away from where I used to live. That may not sound like much but I was really surprised at just how different it was. I'm used to it now though, so its all good :P. Cities are better though. Oh and Minnesota winters SUCK
obfuscator
I live in Canada, province of Ontario, City of Mississauga. Canada - it's a love hate relationship. I love our culture, our traditions, our reputation, and of course the land itself. I hate our politics.Ontario - apathetic. I've never managed to care much about provincial politics, and everything else is more applicable on a nationwide scale.Mississauga - I'm actually proud to live in this city, and I hope to live here for the rest of my life. This municipality is one of the only ones in Canada, and even the world, that actually isn't in debt. That's one of the things that annoys me most about politics in general, and I feel very lucky to live in a city that only spends the money it has. Here's the wikipedia article on our mayor, she's a very interesting character (almost 90 years old and in office for more than 30 years so far): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazel_mccallion "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

Here's the wikipedia article on our mayor, she's a very interesting character (almost 90 years old and in office for more than 30 years so far): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazel_mccallionHaha, I have a bunch of relatives there so I've been up there a few times myself. From what I remember it is a pretty nice place.I live in one of the rich white (also predominantly Jewish) suburbs just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. It's technically a city, and thus one of the richest cities per capita in the country or something. It also was the safest city in America a few years back. It's a decent place...I enjoy some aspects of city life, though I don't think I would like to live somewhere that's too crowded. A suburb is a nice in-between. The rich, white part can be a bit annoying (though it's also like 7% Asian, so there's plenty of my own kind ). Lots of drugs, drinking and partying, none of which I partake in because I'm a good kid nerd.Boston itself is a great place. A very historical place. There are also a lot of good colleges around, so I don't have to go far if I want to go to one of those/I make it in. I would say something about how great of a sports town it is, but the Red Sox suck currently, the Patriots haven't received much positive light, and the Bruins...well...Let's just say the Celtics are our last hope right now. Also, clam chowder and Dunkin' Donuts are good.If I had the option to live somewhere else, I would consider Taipei. I know, it's very crowded, but I just love it there. One thing I forgot to mention above is how liberal the people are where I live. I would say that it's definitely had an impact on my social/political views, but that might also just be a result of my time here on TIF. I still see a lot of things from the Taiwanese or even Japanese point of view though. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu. OldJoe
Sweden, small town (6k), about an hours drive from Stockholm. The area where we live has become a rich area during the years lol, we bought it for 70k € now our house is worth 200k. Good investment from my parents hehe, altho they'll move in a year. Currently i'm hunting work, i'll go for uni next year. But all in all, i want to get out of here. For instance, on the bus home from the city (been at the pub) tonight, i saw an old old old buddy (used to be best friends 12-14 years ago) screwing around on the bus and acting like a clown (real piss [wagon] drunk), two feelings; 1 - knock the teeth out so he shuts up, 2 - ugh... I still see these people? Damn far i've moved (irony). And i also don't like what my country has become. So, local and national reasons for watning to move. Destination? Germany if i could choose. Jeffwilson99
For those people that have seen my video thing, they'll know kinda where I live. It's about 15 mins drive from Kaikoura, which is a small town of about 3,000. It's a really cool place to spend summer, great climate, close to the mountains and the sea so there's plenty to do. But when I'm at Uni I live in a city of around 120,000, of which 20,000 are students too. Currently I'm flatting about 20 minutes from the campus, in a bit of a valley which is a mix of students and families, so it's reasonably quiet. Some of the streets near the uni (Look up Castle Street, Dunedin, New Zealand)are infamous for being excessively rowdy, so I'm sort of glad I don't live too close. Plus it's muhc cheaper. So, yeah I have to say I'm happy with both the places I live, I have a good balance between city and country lifestyle, and also with the people that live there. In Kaikoura I don't know many people, and there aren't man the same age as me, but then I only spend about 2 months of the year there, and the rest I'm surrounded by people my own age. topham
I currently live in Southampton, however, within 2 months I'll be living in Singapore, then I'll be back here next year. I like it in Southampton, everything can be walked to nearly, only use my car once a week, but thats mainly because the walk back would be very late at night and a long (hour and a halfish) walk. Not really had any problem with the area at all, have been here for nearly 3 years, and only have good things to say tbh. However I'm sure lots of people that live here will have negative things to say about it. -Destroy Topham-
Arcantica
I'm Native American, and live out in the woods on our reservation, so yea I like it. We are a sovereign nation from the United States, so it's like our own little country, with our own government and everything. Plus I can hunt, fish...and pretty much just enjoy the outdoors a lot. I went to college down in the big cities, and just didn't like the busy city life. Too much stuff always going on, and it was never actually quiet anywhere. 2001-2006 the fourth and last legit 123 on classic123 classic/137 rs2 Native American Pride

Rainy_Day
I like my country, I like my city, I like my area. My city & area have very low crime rates, no one causes any problems. I don't get along with our neighbours, but that's just because I think they are rude and they most likely think the same about me. Luckily I am moving to another area soon, which is even more secluded and will be surrounded mostly by retired people I believe, so even better. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)RIP Michaelangelopolous
Tim
Crap Area/Town, little job opportunities, Drug and Alcohol Violence is a high thing around here, my neighbors (most) are elderly and some are very stuck up (my next door neighbor). I just hate it, plain and simple. Its the typical Aussie redneck stereotype town, with nothing in it, nothing to do in it, cut off from most public transport and only three friends of mine remain here. So I swear to myself I'm moving out next month, home or not. Popoto.~<
Guy
Yeah, it's great :D I'd prefer to be in a house, but houses here are crazy expensive to rent/buy, and most people live in apartments. Sadly I don't really get involved in the culture here, although I do have a lot of local friends. England seems pretty nice, just taxes are higher and I would have to wake up earlier to get to school :s RIP TET "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche
PhaperPlane
I live in a small village in Milton Keynes. :) It's very quiet, everyone's very friendly and I live opposite a lake so I get to see lots of wildlife. I'm only a 10 minute walk from the train station and I can walk to the city centre from there. I plan on living here for quite a while. ;) What I don't like about where I live however is we have roundabouts, lots of roundabouts. <_<

xsarah
I live in Georgia(usa). To be honest this state is the worst place ive ever lived in. The people r so rude(not that any other state has rude people) I go to places and do nice things some times, hold doors, reach for things etc and not even a decent thank u.. more like a walk off with a smirk on there face. wth? =/. Its so dirty here, theres trash everywhere no1 can pick up anything. So many people drive like grannys here, cant even go the speed limit.. This is 1 thing i cannot stand! Blacks, blacks and more blacks! Im not racist against them I just c them everywhere I turn and its kinda creepy to me when Im the only white person around. Some of them are nice and friendly tho. The customer service people! Ok so i used to work as a cashier and u know we have to have nice, friendly attitude and smile.. "Thanks for coming have a great day etc." Here they dont even do that. Lately every where I go people r so pissy and throw bad attitude just because there havin a bad day or wutever. Wth cares you have a job that works with the general public, show some sympathy and look like u care! I seriously wish these people would get fired. Only postive thing about here is the weather I like hot summer days, since I wear tank tops and shorts every day in the summer so its good to get a tan. Im moving in the upcoming months and im so glad i can get out of this depressing state.
