Hawks
Since you mentioned Lego:There's what I'm sure is an official Lego magazine, but it's crap. Used to be pretty much a catalog for new lego sets, now is pretty much a collection of Clone Wars and Bionicle comics with the occasional teaser for a new set. I forgot. I get that one, since it's free and randomly has teasers for new Lego. Forgot about Discover, too. We got it for a year and didn't like it all that much, so we switched to PopSci. Er... How much is Shonen Jump? I seem to remember it being $30 or so... Yeah it is, and sadly my mom wouldn't pay for it. :P GameInformer looks interesting, is it worth it though if I'm only interested in Nintendo games/hardware? mental_floss looks cool too. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube

sohkmj1
My school makes me subscribe to Reader's Digest, which is fine with me, but recently their stuff is full of healthcare and whatnot instead of interesting stories. Personally, I don't subscribe to, but I buy Playworks, a local game magazine every month (why I haven't subscribed yet eludes myself).

obfuscator
The Economist is the only magazine i have a subscription to, probably not what you're looking for. Personally though, i find knowing what's going on in the world every week in terms of policy and economics (with a historical perspective) is essential for understanding the world we live in.The Economist is great. Unfortunately I'm too cheap to buy a subscription at the moment. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

i_love_burritos
I'm actually required to have a subscription to the Economist as a part of my "studies". Why can't you fools just borrow from a library, it's what I do, and they almost never notice the all the articles I've clipped out. We use to have a subscription for National Geographic at I think $60 for the whole year, but we stopped ages ago. Articles were kind of niche, but the pictures were always good. Occasionally there would be a really good article. New Scientist is the one I read regularly. Choice, and APC are also good. And lol, Harrinator is 15. :|

I used to subscribe to Spin Magazine but I found it boring and their journalist have different tastes then mine so I didn't renew after my 2 years.
