I did play a lot of Blackjack in the final days of middle school though with all sorts of folks. That was fun.I remember in 5th grade when everyone discovered how to play Blackjack... good times. haha, i remember that too. Mr_Adam Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 Hm. Mostly I just play games on the spot at friends houses or in other social events - not so much with my family. I can't think of specifics that I like too much, but I DON'T like the game of Life. I always lose. Also, I used to be really into MTG, but then I stopped because I had no one to play with. Now I found a bunch of people who DO play, but they're all wicked good. Also, the newer sets are unbalanced compared to older sets (Like Mirrodin Artifacts vs. non-Mirrodin), so I'm screwed. It was kinda fun. :)Monopoly just annoys me a bit because a lot of the time I go 4 or 5 turns right at the beginning without landing on anything to buy, and that's not really anything to do with lack of skill. I also play a lot of Texas Hold'em with friends. I'm not much into board games as much. I've taught it to like 10 or 15 speech kids (most seperately), but I've only ever gotten through one game. And that one we only got through because I sacrificed myself to end a stalemate. Hehehe...Good times, good times. Other than that, I like playing Apples to Apples (Which I have never won. >.<), 21 (Which I own at for some reason. My friends think I count cards.), B.S., and Pitch, five person preferably. For board games, it's pretty much limited to Settlers of Catan, Heroscape, Othello, Pente, and Sequence on occasion. Most board games bore me, especially the ones my family plays all the time. Like Marble, which is a game I've only ever heard of my family playing. I can sit through one round while paying attention, or two rounds if I'm doing something else. There are a few games I'd like to try & learn some day, risk and go to name two. I don't feel like a real boardgamer when I haven't played those games. Oh and munchkin is a cool game I guess, but it requires a certain mindset and a likeminded group of players, two things that are hardly ever available for me. Monty python fluxx works better.Also, I'd like to watch a miniature wargame in action. It sounds interesting and kinda fun, but I'm not interested in collecting and painting the miniatures and actually learning the rules and the conventions of the community to actually play with the miniatures.
