That's interesting... Sounds just kinda like another Oktoberfest or something like that, where they'll hold community events. I haven't participated in any yet, and I don't kinda don't think I will in future. :P

I'll be away the next few days so I'll have to miss this :( sounds fun whatever it is!

No, please. If that screenshot from Wiki is to be believed, that would be smack dab in the middle of deep f2p wildy, which would make clan fights a nightmare. I'd rather not have my clan's activities interrupted so people can ooh and ahhh at out-of-place zombies.

A new dimension...what? They're zombies. There's no difficulty from them other than the fact that they're simply taking up space. Extra options on a map, more lag, and frustration is the only thing that clanners would experience from this. Sorry, but PvP is crowded enough as it is. If this was excluded from being added to PvP/BH Worlds, I wouldn't have a problem.

 

I am an idiot. I just read all of this from the General Discussion index and saw that you specifically mentioned "FFA Clan Wars". That spot looks remarkably like the greaters hut in deep wild and I couldn't tell the difference because it was in the topic description, but not the body.

 

Good then, let the little CWA prods be annoyed. Maybe they'll come out of hiding and the wildy will actually be interesting for a day or two.

Since the supposed event runs for only a week, I don't really see how much problem this can potentially cause. Would it disrupt certain clan activities? Potentially, but there is no lasting effect due to the short duration of the event. I say instead of planning clan events around it, why not plan WITH it? This is something Jagex has rarely done, if I were part of a clan, I would try to do something creative with it. It happens like 1 in every 5 years.

I remember during Christmas season years ago there was an "Imp invasion" thing... Just random imps walking around everywhere and you could shake them upside down for loot...

Oh yeah. I remember back in F2P in December 2005, seeing Santa at the Taverly Gate and dressed up imps trapped in the wall there. Those were regular imps, just dressed up iirc. You had to loot them for the baubles.

If they're just in the Clan Wars FFA arena then I don't get the worry, if they were leaked there, they would have been leaked everywhere and since I don't see any I don't think we should worry about a repeat of the imp apocalypse.

on an increasing number of worlds. Apparently, these attacks can come at any time. Most worryingly of all we're hearing that, in many cases, zombie J-Mods seem to be among their ranks. If you see a J-Mod in the Clan Wars arena who looks to be infected, please try to save them or, if necessary, break with tradition and kill, yes KILL, the J-Mod – the choice is yours.

 

We don't know where and when these apparent attacks will next occur, but we'll let you know as soon as we find out. In the meantime, we ask that you keep your eyes peeled and your swords sharp. If you witness these so-called zombies, please alert your fellow players in Clan Chat, on the forums, on your Twitter accounts and, if you have a camera, post your findings on YouTube. Our Player Moderators are already creating strike teams, so follow their lead or help them out, or maybe even just start your own strike team.

 

In an effort to investigate these issues further we've also set up the Alpha Base Program, where you can work with the J-Mod team to find out more about these events.
