What makes a good tipit member?

Featured Replies

I don't recall seeing any threads like this recently so forgive me if I missed one.

So. What do you guys think makes a good member of this forum? Is it someone who:

-Offers advice that is both critical and helpful to the topic?

-Tries to correct other's mistakes in a positive manner?

-Never resorts to flaming and harassing in a debate or conversation?

-Often posts humorous comments?

-Is very supportive to everybody?

What do you guys think? I can name a few who I think are good tipit members but I'd prefer not to mention anyone.

Someone interesting.

Anyone who doesn't act like a jerk or a troll is good enough for me :P

This.

Also, anyone who is not a spambot. Although even the spambots are pretty funny sometimes :D

I enjoy everyone, including the spam bots.

Although seriously, whoever makes a positive contribution to the community. I'm making it vague on purpose because everyone does their own part for the community.

I'd like to think similar qualities to those you'd like to see from people in real life. So funny, without overstepping the boundary too much, serious and intelligent enough to have a proper conversation etc.

Pretty much my thoughts. Someone who you could have a beer with and still like them afterwards.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Myself, and no-one else. Absoultely no-one. Ever.

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

As long as you bring something different and are open to new ideas, you make a good community member in my book.

This, plus being able to respect them after a particularly vicious argument.

I have a feeling you just offended a lot of people.

When proven wrong, don't get [bleep]y or have a hissy fit. When proving someone else wrong, don't get cocky and arrogant about it.

Those are the only two things that really matter to me.

Just all around friendliness is what I look for.

I don't see people who start fights as 'good' members.
