Do they honestly need to have a 30 second advertisement between certain logins? The only reason they are doing this is to make more money, and they know that the players are going to hate this. Very annoying, and something they had specifically said they would not do... Even though I don't like it, I understand the need because F2P does need to be more than a 'dead weight'. I recall a fair number of years ago they tried to do this but removed it because F2Pers didn't like it. Jagex can't help you with a virus. You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level. A few years ago Jagex had similar ads upon each login for f2p. They were met with much criticism and Jagex promised to never have ads like them again... Plenty of other sites, including youtube, have already blazed the trail for doing this sort of thing on free services, and ads that you are forced to watch are going to make a lot more money than banner ads that can easily be blocked. Apparently it was only there to prevent hogging resources, which I don't feel is a huge problem anymore.
