How to make my skilling outfit more snazzy

Featured Replies

So from top to bottom I've got, grim reaper hood, vet cape, fury, d pick, ahrims top, mages book, ahrims bottom, inf gloves, boots, and row.

How can i make it stick out more?

Adding rare (achievement) items such as max/comp cape, golden scythe etcetera.

But I'm guessing you won't be able to get those :P.

Personally I don't think that outfit really fits together. The book, gloves and boots are altogether the wrong colours for the top and legs.

I would suggest getting either the xp-boosting sets (gold mining, lumberjack and such) or hybrid equipment.

The hood doesn't match your robes and it looks weird. Swap out Ahrims for a darker colored robe that flows in a similar way to the hood. Try black mystic, maybe.

Outfit doesn't really match in my opinion; is there one part of the outfit you have at the moment that you definitely want to include? Will be able to give you a nice outfit if I know which piece you definitely want to include!

Well, i love the hood. It must stay. Anything else, is more than replaceable.

Keeping with all the pretty color ranks that have posted, I concur. Boots/gloves look wrong to me.

Working on max and completionist capes.

You want to keep the hood, alrighty, give me a few mins and I'll find some nice stuff to match! :P

The hood would definetly match the new Assassin's outfit, the pieces are interchangeable.

Right, sticking with the Grim Reaper Hood, I'd suggest the Darkmeyer Top, Legs with Fremmy boots.

As for gloves, any grey ones should do, be it Karamja gloves 4 (If you have them!) or the grey ones that you can buy in Canafis!

Any dark cape should suffice, though I'd recommend the Ardouge cape as it'd match the colour scheme.

The fury can stay, and the weapon/tool doesn't matter cause you'll be changing them about!

As for the shield spot...I have Falador shield 4 with it but again, something like an iron shield would be okay enough, I guess!

1. Color coordination is overrated. Keep that in mind.

2. Get rid of the book and pickaxe. They look awkward. Don't feel pressured to fill every slot. Weapons/shields can make a good outfit turn shit.

3. Be careful of your choice of boots. Generic colored boots look like goofy socks and you end up looking like a clown. Infinity boots are much better, but they're too colorful for that outfit.

4. Stay away from skillcapes. You'll be too tempted to color coordinate and end up as a purple blob that's apparently an incredible chef or something like that. See #1

Generally, you want to avoid any achievement items that aren't that hard to achieve (holiday items, skill capes, gold mining suit, etc.). They don't do anything except look tacky and/or nooby.

As Cheefoo said, avoid being too matchy. Wearing all of one color is a bad idea. You want a little variety.

Probably the best way to go is to find a good set of basic clothes.

Black H2, or any other trimmed black armor might look nice with the hood.

Ardy cape would look better than vet cape. Try the double eyepatch pirate hat instead of the hood.

Switch the top and bottom for Dagon'hai.

Switch the cape to something snazzy (Herald cape is a fit all, SW cape is bland in colour but great in style, 10 year Veteran cape would also be okay)

Maybe switch the gloves to either Dragon, red Dominion gloves.

It should look quite decent.

Assassin outfit doesn't match the grim hood since you can't change the base blue color.

Mark of Hazeel (just a personal favorite)

Default boots

No shield slot item

No weapon except when mining or woodcutting

No fury

Darkmeyer or Ahrim's hood if you must have one, reaper hood isn't detailed enough

Dominion gloves are good if you like particles, if not you could try some of the default clothes that give you gloves and change the color

From the empty days of hope, deny the darkness
Follow my voice, we'll run far away from here

If only to hide, to escape this life
And live forever, forever in the sun

If you can afford the burning, necromancer robes. Zuriel robes look quite good too, just be careful to not enter any combat.

The infinity boots/gloves look out of place. A dominion tower glove would be ideal, otherwise a dark glove such as karamja 4 or void gloves. Any dark boot, or a glacor boot if you like their look.

In case you can be convinced to get rid of the hood, royal coif, flaming skull, double eyepatch, CW halo, etc, all look pretty nice.

The dominion necklace glows blue, which is why I like it more than the fury. If you can afford it an ornate fury is great.

In cape slot any cape with particles. If not, ardy or keep 5 years cape.

Hybrid outfits esp. trickster and vanguard look cool, but are very time-consuming to obtain.

In the hand slots the torch (from gielnor games) and faithful shield (CW). Any scythe or any katana, if you have. The 200m bow looks good too, although common. The staff from runespan (forgot name), it has particle effects.
