September 14, 201213 yr The challenge system actually looks like it could be quite interesting but I will reserve judgement. Other than that not the most fascinating BTS ever but still we seem to be get a fair amount of reasonable-good updates recently which is nice. September 14, 201213 yr A few spoilers for the new quests this month... Barrows Items: 1x Dharok's Platelegs, 1x Veracs's Plateskirt, 1x Dharok's Greataxe, 2x Torag's Platelegs, 1x Akrisae's War Mace, 1x Ahrim's Robeskirt, 3x Akrisae's Robetop, 1x Guthan's Warspear, 1x Akrisae's Robeskirt, 1x Torag's Helm, 2x Verac's Brassard, 1x Karil's Pistol Crossbow
September 14, 201213 yr With how they worded this, it almost sounds like the Challenge system and the Task system are two different entities entirely. Meaning the 700 or so of them they mentioned, will all have to be done one at a time... Sweet, something to do. How many hotdogs does it take to mow a garage door?

September 14, 201213 yr Video is private. :(I saw it earlier. Possibly because there's an accidental leak. I got a screenie one min. September 14, 201213 yr That picture alone has changed my mind on this update from sceptical to intrigued. :P ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........
September 14, 201213 yr Jagex has managed to botch a few updates that sounded great in concept, but I have to say that so far, the challenge system sounds good. I am wondering - no efficiency expert: The mod working on this mentioned that drop mining iron ore is the fastet method - is that still true? Wondering if they actually are familiar with all the skilling methods :P

September 14, 201213 yr inb4 SoF and Solomon appear permanently on that noticeboard when it's released :P Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. September 14, 201213 yr The challenge system has potential to shake things up a bit with training. I'm just not convinced that the experience gains will be equivalent or superior to the most efficient methods out there. JAG - meh, I suppose I was holding out hope that they'd implement a two-step authentication in regards to account security. Ah well, not everything can use an RSA fob... September 14, 201213 yr They blurred out a couple of screens from the original copy to obscure a couple of IP address on an excel sheet. I look forward to something to break the grind of training skills. Can't wait! Edit: They seem to forget to register fraps at about the 2:17 mark. September 14, 201213 yr I've been excited for the challenge system all month. I'm hoping it gives me that push to leave the GE, and actually gain some xp in Runescape. It looks promising at least (knock on wood). PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
September 14, 201213 yr The challenge system seems great. But I really hope that next week's update is the botany bay one and not the challenge system. We really need to get rid of those bots now. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
September 14, 201213 yr inb4 SoF and Solomon appear permanently on that noticeboard when it's released :P Sounds like you want to play a game of 'Who can be the bigger pessimist?' IridiumBunny responds with: inb4 my daily challenge is to buy spins and runecoins.
September 14, 201213 yr So it's a more polished version of the challenge system that they removed years ago? Not a bad thing, the old one wasn't that good. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
September 14, 201213 yr The challenge system seems great. But I really hope that next week's update is the botany bay one and not the challenge system. We really need to get rid of those bots now.As there are only two weeks left in September it seems to me like they'd combine both of those into one update, and the Al Kharid/new quests update into the other. I do agree with you that the new bot nuke needs to be done sooner rather than later, but if it takes a bit longer to get it right I'm wiling to wait. September 14, 201213 yr I don't care much for the Challenges update, but the security update looks interesting. :) RIP RU_Insane. August 3rd, 2005 - November 11th, 2012. My Stats on Old School RuneScape: Reform Customer SupportCheck Out My Threads
September 14, 201213 yr The Noticeboard update looks pretty nice, but seriously.. +700 Challenges? The challenges are not tasks, the point is not to complete them all and never do them again. As such, a large number of tasks is good because it makes sure they are varied I don't care much for the Challenges update, but the security update looks interesting. It's already active since the last update.
September 14, 201213 yr Nothing on legacy account security :( Ah well. Challenge system looks real nice, and it actually looks like a clever adaptation of this suggestion that was posted on tip.it back in June.
September 14, 201213 yr Thats kind of cool. The thread was made in June 2011, so I wonder if that influenced Jagex to create the challenge system. A little over a year sounds about right for a new idea from concept through completion. Have the courage to change the things you can, the patience to accept the things you can't, and the wisdom to know the difference.[/Quote]
September 14, 201213 yr Seems like the noticeboard is just going to make looking through quests and the such laggier. RuneCrafting addict Divination addict
September 14, 201213 yr The mod working on this mentioned that drop mining iron ore is the fastet method - is that still true?It is for F2P. Unless we're getting a major update or access to the LRC.The Challenge System, on the other hand, is P2P. The noticeboard is F2P.
