What's wrong with pink? Plenty of you guys liked strolling around in those pink skirts sold from the Varrock shop.

*swaps pink skirt for a blue one* No idea what you're talking about :-w

The veteran's cape could look a wee bit better more refined if the beige portion on the bottom was removed. But then again, pale blue is dull.

Yeah, they are. Currently they wear blue shirts and pants/skirts.

Also, wtf is wrong with pink?

Only people who actually played classic, when classic was the only game, should get the cape.

That's a fair point, but to play devil's advocate a bit...I played during classic, yet lost my access prior to the reopening of it because I forgot to log in regularly. If I had lost access, assuming we're going on the same mechanics that determine who gets the cape now, I wouldn't have qualified for it regardless if I played back then. So I'm pretty happy that this is how they're determining eligibility, I'm very proud that I played since the classic time. :)

You couldnt of 'lost access' any account made in RSC that got transferred to rs2 always had it. I never logged onto classic from transfer day to like a month after they shut tht reopening and I didnt lose access.

Lady_Ninane was created in classic and transferred to RS2. A few years after that, I lost access because I didn't log on. Furthermore when I went to 'recreate' my account on classic during the reopening period, all my stats were wiped clean. Are you sure they didn't remove access after a time? Because I didn't have it for a long period.

EDIT: Here, this is the time period I'm talking about:

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Runescape_Classic

On 15 January 2006, only players who had logged in between 4 August 2005 and 15 January 2006 could play RuneScape Classic, meaning that members could not access RSC unless they had logged in between that time frame.

That is when I lost my access to RSC. Between 2006 and 2009 I could not access Classic despite transferring my account from it. If they did not reopen classic like they did, I would've never been able to access the Classic cape even though I should have been able to.

One thing im curious to is will F2P have access to say the Veteran's Cape. There's alot of F2P players who have played for a long time (and I dont mean bots) I think it'd be fair if they have the option to attain the Veteran's Cape. I know a few old friends wouldnt mind re-logging back in to get it.

So you actually played RSC when it was first out, and I just played it for an hour and got bored with it within the last year, and I get the cape and you don't? Sounds kinda silly, really. Ahh well, I don't have enough backs to wear every cape I own, so I won't really be flaunting my undeserved classic cape very much anyway. I really hope Jagex makes some kind of exclusive classic cape for people who really played it back in the day.

Yeah... If you hated classic *raises hand* why would you want to wear the cape anyway? This also @ Kramp's post.

At the moment the Classic cape (if abiding by the above) means nothing, which is a little unfortunate. :???:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't having a scythe or bunny ears prove that you played RSC?

Also why does Ninane sound so familiar... #-o

I'm going to have to run around telling people that I actually played Classic when I wear the cape, apparently.

Missed bunny ears and scythe because I didn't know about holiday events back then :(

Also, I went on classic for the lolz today... there were ~10 people on each of the 3 worlds. I logged onto the "veteran only" classic server. Ran around aimlessly until I finally found people... 2 people standing in the same spot in front of an anvil. Probably bots.

I can't wait to wear my classic cape, bunny ears, and scythe. No need to tell people that I actually played in classic when my items can prove it.

I missed the santa hats, I think, because I was too busy killing Black Knights in the wilderness and thinking I was "cool".

I hate the fact that I was so young back then. I could've been set for life! ;_;

This 10000x. Back when christmas crackers, santa hats, halloween masks, and all that good stuff was released, I was too busy being a child and being with my family/going trick or treating/playing with friends to get on Runescape.

No it's delayed because it's May Day bank holiday weekend in the UK, will probably be out later today.

So classic cape has been confirmed to be useable by anyone who's ever accessed rsc ever. Loses its prestige, but oh well.

The completionist cape should represent achievements on runescape not symbolize gay pride.

I'll have to thank the morons on hlf for ruining it.

Remember back in the day when you'd always wear pink infinity robes? :P

Lavender with bits of red, green, purple, yellow, and blue.

Maybe the cuffs were pink, big difference. :shame:

I really like it? I voted against pink.

I wasn't aware that you represented the moron element of HLF where they post ascii doodles of elephats and spam each other to death.

Having the cape pink was obviously an inside joke that only they get.

Perhaps, only they will wear it.

So, the natural question to follow that is: ‘What happens when you’ve trained all your skills to level 99?’ It’s not like you can wear all your skillcapes at the same time – for a start, the colours would clash, and you’d get a bit hot with so many layers. In which case, you’ll probably want to track down Max in Varrock and buy a max cape from him. Don’t think that a max cape is Max’s cape, though, as you can make it very much your own by customising its colours how you wish, much like with clan cloaks.
