i once got one over on a scammer i was in world 2 and there was some 1 selling a obby cape for 40k, so i traded thinking "woh 40k for obby cape", however in the back of my mind i was thinking this could be a scam.

 

 

 

Anyway he traded a noted obby cape and i was like ooo put up my cash and accepted. In the next screen it said *Cape* not Obby cape so i declined, and reported. HOWEVER he traded me again and i put my cash up he traded the obby cape i then saw the normal cape up aswell so i accepted and got em both, i was like " Even tho is was the scammer he shoudl surly read the next screen. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Continually being annoyed by people who offer 1m for full rune and then take away 989996 coins to offer 10004 coins for it, talk about been there done it, reported and got the T-Shirt

 

 

 

I also get sick of people who spam in varrock west bank world 1, flipping annoying, reported for breach of rule 1!

 

That isn't a breach of rule 1. He is saying something of content for first, and for second, those messages get upwards in your chat box in milliseconds. Wannabe mod.

 

Ahem. Autotyping is considered macroing. GL on trying to explain that it isn't, especially when I've asked several p-mods about it.

 

 

 

Spamming is also under Rule 1, and while many players break this rule just talking, it is almost never reported except for in crazy outbreaks where people start spamming "@@@@@@@@@@@@@" and the likes.

This is probably a common scam, but the other day, I was buying a rune scimmy. This guy was selling one for 20k. The first thing that popped into my mind was, "Wow that's a great deal I should buy it." That's what you would think too right? Think again, he changed the rune scimmy to iron at the last minute. Of course, being myself, I knew that I should check this time because 20k isn't exactly a walk in the park to get when you are level 45 (I'm level 60 now). So I checked the the second trade window and guess what?... You guessed it... he was a scammer.

i have another tale, but this one hapened to my bro when he was like lvl 6. he was killing some chickens and burying bones when he got the gravedigger event. by the time he cam back there were 3 new people at the chicken coop. one repetitvly shouted in as many caps as possible -

 

I AM A MOD, DROP YOUR ZOMBIE STUFF OR BE REPORTED. my brother, being an underage player, had me over his shoulder to guide him. i reported the guy and ignored him and all that. about a week later on my own acc, i saw the same guy saying "reporting your enemies, 3k per name" i was like wow this guy is the worst scammer ever

I saw this guy in the Varrok East bank saying that he would buy a rune scimmy for 100k. Taking the opportunity, I offered mine to make a good profit. As a clicked accept, he changed it to 10k and added a cape. Thank God I caught it! Reported! :shame:

scammer withdrew all the money, and quickly hit accept to proceed to the second screen. He pressed accept as well

 

i, seeing that the money is gone, hit decline => no loss

through I'm sleepy, i know what the scammer attempts to do and i removed 3 lobsters. Then I hit accept

 

the scammer, only hopes to finish the ugly job quickly, hits accept. I hit accept as well

 

The transaction gone through well and i said: nice try

 

the scammer said: ur scammer

 

i walked away

 

later, the scammer PM me, telling that i was reported

 

and of course, he didn't do so or his account - ruined as he tried scamming in advance!

Yes. I was going to buy 10k big bones and i was going to pay 350 ea for them because they were in such large quanities, but i put 3.5 mill up and the guy changed the noted b bones to regular bones. But lucky i wasnt lagging and i saw it on the next accpet screen. YEA! :shame:

Ok well here it is well it start of by me going to my bank (world 1) some 1 wanted to buy my full rune (t) ok. I take it out and go see this person and trade him he puts 1m and then i accept. He then takes it off and puts 10004 (10k) and a bunch of rune items. I wasent paying attention so i accepted and then on the second screen i look and it says only 10k 2xrune axe and more rune stuff worht about 300k so i decline and the next day he pms me on his other account saying his main go banned since i reported him hahahaha what a loser

This is actually a scam... i was in a wanna be wealth contest (u didnt actually give him the item). I won and he was giving me 5mil. he dropped in wildy i ran 2 get. Got frozon lost about 2mil worth of stuff... =(

I was at world 16 making airs, and it was pretty crazy busy. There was one individual who kept coming to me faithfully, so I thought "cool, I have a regular customer" after he made two or three trips for me, I was just accepting and not thinking about it, He then skammed me twice, taking 4k and 50 ess. My story isn't too sad, but it put me in a sour mood at the time.

I have two tales, both are when luring was aloud (scum scamming, AKA)

 

the first time was when i was like 3-5 (first time) and some dude (dont remember the name) told me about a secret area where i could get a bunch of gold. Believing him, I followed. He told me that i had to take a wine of Zammorak from the mages. So i did. They shredded me to bits with their evil magics.

 

The other time was when i was lvl 60 something, full addy with rune kite, a new d long, fresh out of training. So i was walking along varrock, when this guy came up to me, and said stuff like "Hey, follow me." and "I can hook you up with 3 mil everyday." And so I was brought to the edge of the wildy. He used his powdered wig and did an emote, he said, do you like that, and before i could say something, i was walking backward deeper into the wildy. And i was snared to death. Later, when luring was against the rules, I taunted him alllllll day, with stuff like, "So whats it like not being able to lure anymore, hmm?" That was horrid for me.

a couple months ago I bought full zammy after saving up for a long time. It was all i wanted but soon after purchase I realized I wasn't too happy with it so I tried to sell world one for 2 mill. I get a guy to buy for 3 mill and I put zammy in trade screen. he puts 3 mill and withdraws. I accidentally hit accept and then I lag. not looking at the trade i hit accept but it doesnt go through. i then unlag and go to normal. im about to hit accept because i didnt expect a problem and then, thank god, in message screen he says, "Got you scammed!!!!" i decline and report. lol he had me until he said that

Well this was when I was around level 50-60 combat. I was training at lessers and I killed one and a rune med drop I for once back then never seen one. I was so happy I didn't know what to do I asked my friend what to do. He told me to go sell it so I went to varrock west bank and try to sell it. This guy offered me 20k for it I was super happy, But I didn't check the second screen that he swap the 20k really fast to 2k. I found out after the trade then I was so mad at him I was cussing and such he logged out. Yep thats my story. :wall:

One time, I pked an adamant g plate and I was selling it.

 

So this guy comes up to me and says that he is desperate to finish his g addy set and he said that he will buy it for 200k. I thought ok this guy is buying so I traded him the pl8. On the trade screen, he put up 200k and some junk like wheat, 2 death runes, and some a cut ruby. Then he declines and we trade again. This guy was a pure mage and so listin to this. The second time, he puts up 20k, the wheat, the ruby, and for some reason, 1k death runes. Then we both accepted and at that time, I didnt realize the 20k and thought that it was 200k. But, I also didnt realize the 1k death runes. So we accepted and I realized that it was only 20k and I was about to report him when I realized the load od death runes. At that time, I was cracking up so much that I completely forgot that he scammed me. I think that he was trying to hit the xamount button but I think that he accidentally hit the all button.

 

 

 

A month later, I sold the 1k death runes at once and I realized that I sold it to the same guy that scammed me. Apperently, he gave me all of his rare things and I think that what i got was what he had scammed from me and other people. :XD: :thumbsup:

This guy tried the account giving scam with me: he gave me a level 94 account, which was a good f2p pker btw, but it was completely empty. So I looked at recovery questions: check. I knew that he'd hope for me drop trading stuff to the account, so instead I started advertising random porn websites that came to mind in the middle of Varrock, and finished it up with some nice "fok u nub" and armor trimming scams. (For the sake of safety, I did it from another computer)

 

He will be wondering about why his account has about 17 blackmarks :ohnoes:
