I don't much care for wrestling. But, my sister is OBSESSED with it. So, me, my friends, and my brother all mess with her about it. We tell her that we know Batista. Every single friend that comes over, she will ask, "Do you know Batista?" We always warn people before they walk into the house, "If she asks you if you know Batista, just say yes." :lol: It's great. She's so gullible, and ALL my friends are in on it too, which just makes it great.

Totally agree.These storylines are offensive and go no where basicly,and horrible acting by many of the wrestlers.Rather see Triple HHH tell me to suck it then Orton babble on for hours and and about a dead guy.

Wrestling (the tv stuff like WWE) is fake and real. Yes confusing, but let me explain.

 

 

 

Wrestlers are very hard working people. They are very strong and it takes a high atletic ability to be one. They really do hit each other (or are supposed to), but it's quite harmless most of the time. The entire thing is coreographed and is entirly though out ahead of time. The "upsets" and whatnot are totally thought out ahead of time.

 

Even the identities of the wrestlers are fake. Many "enimies" in the ring are actually good friends outside of the ring.

 

When you see a guy fly off a ladder onto someone, they do hit each other, but the area that they hit is large enough it doesn't hurt as much as it looks.

 

 

 

So wrestlers are just really over-paid actors with big muscles that do something totally pointless and stupid.

 

This info I have gotten from realiable sources, but the last part is just my opinion (yes, I think wrestling is stupid)

The "behind-the-scene" story of wrestling is actually pretty sad. Obviously the widespread steroid use but a lot of wrestlers take painkillers to fight the pain of their injuries so they can wrestle 4-5 nights a week then they take uppers so their alert enough to wrestle and a lot of them end up dieing young.

 

 

 

Too bad their dieing for such a lame sport.

I don't think wrestling is stupid, but it's not my kind of thing. Human nature is innately prone to violence, and wrestling is just a fulfillment as such. It's entirely understandable.

Ha, further back than that was even better. Hulk Hogan, Doink the clown, Jake the snake, 1-2-3 Kid, Yokozuno, Sting, Ric Flair...

 

I can't stand watching wresting for any longer than 10 minutes nowadays though. Too much nonsensical yelling.

That said, this was without a doubt the worst WrestleMania I've ever seen. WrestleMania has always been about quality workrate and excellent matches. This year, every single match was a gimmick match, with the exception of a few matches, most were well below the standard we've come to expect from WM. Finlay and Lashley had no business being in the Money in the Bank match. They let Ric Flair take a bump that legitimately hurt him. The only really great spots in the entire match belonged to Shelton Benjamin. That springboard onto the ladder was nuts. The Edge/Foley match was NOT the best for either of them. I remember ECW, I remember legit hardcore wrestling, I also remember when the WWE ruined it. Hardcore wrestling used to be about more than just "let's see what I can hit a guy with". The finish was boring and predictable. The only good things about the HHH/Cena match were HHH's entrance, The closeup of CM Punk during Cena's entrance and the crowd booing Cena's lack of real ability.

 

 

 

Guys, WWE is complete and utter crap. Raw and Smackdown stopped being wrestling shows when McMahon hired former Hollywood writers (including one of the guys who used to write Friends) to write storylines. I still can't figure out why I keep watching, although I usually just record it to DVR and fast forward through most of it. If you want REAL traditional wrestling, TNA is on every Saturday night. Yeah, the storylines and production quality don't measure up to the WWE, but that's not what wrestling has ever been about.

They have so many good guys with potential that they could make big storylines about and make it interesting....but nooooo gotta recycle the same stuff EVERY night...I watch it every thrusday though :) and now that they got sasquatch ill watch it even more :shock: BRING BACK THE HARDCORE TITLE!...and stop the stupid split roster

I disagree with you on all counts. They made the hardcore division a joke. I never liked what they did with it. I also like the split roster. Without the roster split, guys like Shelton Benjamin and the entire cruiserweight division would get buried under 20 other guys no one cares about. As for Dalip Singh, I don't even know where to begin. He's a TERRIBLE worker. He's injured a few guys already through his carelessness. Most notably he injured Brian Ong during a botched spinebuster and Ong later died. He shouldn't be back in a ring ever.
