Ragen
I've spent the evening searching for the heaviest song in the world. My search has lead me to find some really great metal, some really, really, really heavy stuff. I've touched upon every subgenre of metal, from doom to drone doom to black metal to metalcore to 80's thrash to grindcore - a genre which I had previously written off as a mindless load of poop. It's been an eye-opening experience. Only problem is, next time I go to a music shop I'm going to end up spending all my money. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar! Care to share what you found? :P Heaviest song so far is 'Lashed to the Slave Stick' by Nile (I think Black Seeds of Vengeance is heavier but I haven't heard a complete version of the song yet) or 'Homage for Satan' by Deicide. I've looked a songs by Killswitch Engage, Overkill, Moonspell, Lamb of God, Pantera, In Flames, Cradel of Filth, Children of Bodom, Carcass, Canibal Corpse, Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Behemoth and some Megadeath. I think tonight I'll explore Black Metal a bit more, all I've heard so far is raspy guitars and a guy with a sore throat. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar! Satenza
Dido - Life for Rent Robbie Williams - Swing when your Winning (50ish and 60ish music sung by Robbie) Robbie Williams: What we did last summer. Travis - Twelve Memories Zappa Pink Floyd Deep Purple Bob Dylan Fleetwood Mac Led Zeppelin That's what I listen to most of the time now. Amazing what can happen in a year time. 3 years later, still the same! and im listening to the band you advised to me yesterday. I ordered the albums :P Heading For The Light - The Travelling Wilburys With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
