Does your PIN annoy you?

Featured Replies

It really isn't too hard.. Takes about 5 seconds when you're used to it. The people that say they don't need it because it annoys them are the ones that beg for "phr33 st00f" when they get hacked. :?

I HATE IT,thats all i have to say,but i'm not in the mood to get hacked so its leaving there

Ya, it's a bit anoying but on the other hand, I don't want to lose my items again.. :?

99 ranged | 99 magic | 99 defence | 99 hitpoints

Remember, it's just a game

Feel free to add me on RS. :) Always ready for a chat.

Yes it is annoying, it takes up time, especially when it's laggy and you accidentally click something twice etc. However, I reckon it's considerably less work and hassle than replacing the entire contents of my bank if I get hacked. So on balance I like the pin, I'm also with misterxman, people who whine because their account got hacked and they lost everything, even after Jagex has told them to set PINs and recovery questions and everything else, these people make me mad.

i deleted mine after almsot 2 years playing and not being hacked once because of mine great virus scanners i think i dont need it :)

it getsa nying to type every 15 minutes

i get annoyed as i think everybody does but its well worth it i mean if you get keylogged then your screwed but if you have a pin you're ok, also for me if i got hacked and lost stuff from my bank i'd know it was one of my friends as they have seen my pin when they come over my house and i would kill them and take the stuff back

Sig by me....

I hate clicking the PIN to. <.<

RS crashes a few times for me and it's always annoying to log back in and open my bank. Better safe than sorry I guess. However I don't think the pin will help much anway, because I still hear people get hacked even with a PIN. :uhh:

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

I wouldn't mind putting in the pin if they didn't move the numbers around for each click. It's bad enough that they are not in order (though that's understandable, I guess), but usually when I click a number I'm already looking for the next one ... and then it moves!

I'm too old for this!

Nevertheless, and despite the fact that I sometimes crash every ten minutes and constantly must re-enter it, I still use it. I couldn't even *think* of re-acquiring the stuff I have now.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

It's only annoying when I lagg, or when you change it then you keep typing in that one.

But it keeps my stuff safe so i'm happy :D

Quit RuneScape :)

I am fine with my bank pin, when I am just annoyed and am on the game I hate it but in genral I love it. I wonder how I could have played with out it.

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

What he said, but if the keylogger can detect mouse clicks and can see what you see on the screens, you're doomed. Not sure if thats called a keylogger. Anyways, I took my pin off when I was getting 99 cooking because I kept having to go eat and get a drink and watch tv and go to the bathroom and the pin just frustrated me.

It would be much harder to send over a file to someone that has a keystroke logger, screen recorder and mouse click logger, and probably much easier to detect. So you are probably 2x more safe with a bank PIN on your account as long as you lock your goodies away when you log out :D

Currently not active on RuneScape.

On my main and future staker I have pins because they provide way more security than they are annoying. On my f2p pures I have no pin because the accounts have maybe 100k that I got running airs so I don't really care if I lose the stuff. If they messed with the stats it would be far worse than stealing a few green dhide chaps and vambs.

If you get "hacked" and did not have a pin, you deserve the loss. I will not complain if my pure accounts get raided for that very reason.

This is a really vauge statement. You have no facts to back it up, people are just as likely to beg for free stuff if they had a pin set or not.

I find me PIN annoying to. But what if you have enemys(lol),money(+1mil)and full dragon  .

I'm happy i got one

pking+dv8.png I have the ancient power. :p

But i switched to modern magic lol

Don't have it anymore. I used to have it from the beginning, but then I realised that I had only 50k in my bank, and didnt put off my one and only santa hat every time I logged off, so it had no use for me, except when I'd go to a bank every time after playing to bank my santa.
