what i ment by that is that when you really want a skill or you are competing with a friend you will go countless hours just doing the same thing over and over and over again, well i did this with woodcutting on my old account i had 74 wc then that got banned so i really wanted wc high again. I spent about 3 days wcing non-stop(besides dinner,b-room,sleeping) and id say i did pretty good, i got just about 1k yews in 2 days then willows the next day. Then when i got on the next day i just couldn't wc at all i was just so sick of, and i still am even though i would like 75 i cant do more than a few loads of willow logs -.-

 

 

 

so im just wondering how long does it take you guys to do start a skill again after you "over train"

Happened to me with mining. I was mining iron from since I could remember and banking them. Once i hit the mining guild, I mined coal untill mid-70's. Then I decided to go for the big 85. I powermined, powermined, powermined untill 84. I could now use a dwarvern stout to mine runite ore. After that, I decided to train some other skills. Well I did that for about a little less than a year and finally mined granite untill the big 85. I remember during that period, a huge amount of people pestered me to finally get the big 85 mining.

i had 72 minning on my old main and now i only have 57 -.- i absolutely hate minning now cant do more than 1 load of iron or coal

well I've been mining pure ess for two days now, but I've been multi tasking so I'm not bored...yet

I always need a goal to attain, and I could do some of the most boring things over and over again to obtain my goal, e.g I powerfished in Shilo for 76 two months ago. And then usually I drop the skill and never use it unless I need to. I've never fished a single fish since I got 76.

 

 

 

I personally like to rotate skills so I don't get too bored. :P

We all get sick of it to some extent. But that sick of something, honestly? If you're being honest, I think you caught the lazy bug. =;

i know exactly how you feel when tears of guthix came out trained fire from 20 to 50 or whatever was needed and wc got to 68 in process and then traininged wc till got 70 fletch of maples i was so tired from wc then ive recently fished from 70-72 at shilo can't even go back so bored then did monks to 73 and never want to fish again

I can train for maybe an hour, and then the monotony of it all just drives me insane, so I've basically given up on every skill but Magic. Even then, Magic leveling takes a while since I only do "non-boring" training methods :P .

 

 

 

Anyways, when your Magic level accounts for over 30% of your total experience at level 97, then you know you've given up on skills :lol: .

When I started killing dragons I was 79 str and 77 attack, I am now 82 attack and strenght and can only find myself to kill 50 dragons or so a day, I think that speaks for itself. :

i power mined about 40k in a week back in rsc to get 84 mining.

 

 

 

its best to take a short break every hour or two and play somthing else or go outside and run around.

look at my sig and ull see how bored i get with money makin and skills

Ye it happens eventually ;p, I was never bored ranging till just last week, when i was 25k off 105 lol :x looks like i do have my limit ;p.

i got bored of pest control after a few days. I got 15 prayer lvls at about 90 tickets ea. Thats about 1500 tickets, or 25 hours of pest controll. But im gunna be back at it next week going for 83 att and str!

well one time i decided i wanted insane high cooking and i stopped for like a month from 70-85 then finally got 99. well i only did wcing when iwas f2p and i dont really do it much now

When I was like lvl 40 cb in f2p I fished lobs until 70 fishing, then in the last year and a half have raised it 1 level... Ugh I hate fishing

I don't play for over 3 hours at a time, even 1 hour is rare for me. So I think this question doesn't abtain to me :P

I have been working at my house for weeks, just spending every bit of cash on it, and now i just don't feel like making cash selling summer pies now. So instead i have been pest controlling for 80 mage, 100 games left to play \

happened to me yesterday, i went from 60 to 65 fm cutting my own maples then tried to get 60 fletching, and basically couldn't click on the tree, so i had to buy a ton of logs. oddly, fletching and stringing was nice, as it was a break from wc and fm

*looks at her level after 5 years*... Years? :P

I can't even train skills that I have to pay attention for anymore lol. So now all I do is pretty much train combat while browsing the forums.

 

 

 

I also almost burned out on combat at 84 slayer, but I managed to keep going and I've been killing abyssals since then

I totally burned myself when i went for 60 mining. I now mining. I just dont find it fun to do anymore. :|

On my old account all I did was mined for a guy, I did it all day and then did some woodcut and range just before I got hacked. When I started this account I just did combat for a while but got back into woodcut and did it for the first while and then I picked up my bow... Well in less then 7 months (alot of off and on) I got my 99 range.
