jonmondalson
Construction is by far the easiest 99 1-80 can be done in a day, thats about 3m xp.. 4-5 days for the whole skill if nolifed just you've gottta be able to afford near 130m to get there, the cheapest way.. drgnslyer_15
fletching is the most profitable and firemakin is the easiest if u have cash : FIREMAKING ISN'T EASIER THAN COOKING! Cooking sharks is FASTER xp than burning yews... Also, you can EARN money on cooking while firemaking is just a drain... Trust me, I got both 99 :3>yer nuts if you have the money to burn mages you get faster exp in fm than cooking. unless you can get over 300k an hr cooking fm is faster IF you burn mage logs RSN: drgnslyer15 15 skills 90+ - 10 skills 99 - 200m+ total exp
Ghost-Knigth
All these statistics posted on this topic can't be used at all. Maybe most people have 99 strength but it's not the fastest skill at all to get 99 in. Also it has been in RS since the beginning. I follow the main stream and say prayer is the skill which is easiest to get 99 in. Without taking in consideration that I might also be the most expensive. 99 ranged | 99 magic | 99 defence | 99 hitpointsRemember, it's just a gameFeel free to add me on RS. :) Always ready for a chat. Dalcyte
I'd say cooking is easiest: least effort of all skills (auto-cook) and least money to invest. Cookin gauntlets of course are a necessity. Always keep 1k sharks and/or 1k lobs either raw or cooked in bank (only sell the surplus of 1k). Get your behind to fishing guild, keep offering to swap your cooked sharks for raws. Go Catherby fish grounds to swap your cooked lobs for raws. Keep the people that take up on your offer on friends list. The sharks/lobs you burn are easily replaced by the fish you catch yourself. I got 99 cooking myself before auto-cook was introduced and before all the new pies were introduced, so I can't give an accurate estimate of how much cook xp/hour one would get. not by a long shot, firemaking is the fastest skill to lvl by far, maybe second to con but it's a lot more expensive. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
hellbellz
Cooking - After 85 and on Sharks, you can make an alright profit from it. :) Or Woodcutting, click, sit back, and wait for you invy to load, or another tree to hop to.

You're probably right. Then again, I don't see myself claiming cooking would be the fastest skill to get to 99, nor do I see the threadstarter asking for the fastest. Of course, when going for 99 firemaking/prayer/construction one also has to factor in the time spent to get the cash needed to invest in the skill, because that requires additional effort and thus makes it less easy. When you burn logs, you get ashes in return: I don't know many people in RS willing to swap my inventory of ashes for magic logs: less easy When cooking a full inventory, it takes three mouse clicks. Burning a full inventory takes 54 : more effort, less easy So, to obtain a 99-skill within reasonable time, with reasonable effort and reasonable money involved: cooking (or fletching). To obtain a 99-skill within a few days, without having to mind money: I'd pick prayer/construction.

For Firemaking it's 27 steps East to a 27+ row.

tha_familia3
why most people forgot herblore it is not the cheapest... but really the fastest.. and not the cheapest if you make pray pots you make a good profit.. but long time to sell  cooking and fletch are 2 really fast.. and i think the cheapest 1.. AND THAN THE LEST CRAFTING yeah i mean crafting its a really money drain... but you get 62xp for 1 green d hide... if you make green bodys.. is it alot xp on a hour.. but you need to much money for it.. TheWilch
lets look at statistics of max exp (200mil) of each skills... construction, no body! prayer, no body as well! firemaking, 1 person only! fletching, 5 people cooking, 7 people thoughts? well thats just because you have to cook to do atleast 5 other skills, because they require food? and the guy that posted above me, if you kill the drags urself, bring like 12 lobs get a full load of draghides...... its super fast, but it doesnt cost money if u do it urself, only if u buy the hides. and then if u dont b uy the hides, craft them, then high alch. very profitable. but then again, 116 so... thats y i get 2 bring 12 lobs lol. Fletching ftw? its the Eaaasiest to get and cheapest by farI've only seen 2 fletching capes worn. Instead of that, how about ya look for the amount of 99 fletchers compared to the other most 99 skill, cooking. 99 Fletchers ~ More than 6200+.. 99 Cookers ~ 5,813 :wall: But I've still only seen two people with the fletching cape

How many people seriously have 130m pixels? dude, alot more people then you think, the question is who has 130mil they are willing to spend on that skill. like i said to r2pleasant when he said how player owned houses will keep the economy in check, whats the point of spending millions on a mansion of a house and no1 else can see it? also, really i see alot of low lvl people with 99 fletchin and 99 cooking capes untrimmed. and when i saw low lvls i mean like 108's and lower. i dont really see getting 99 fletching or 99 cooking an achievement. tripsis
Cooking is by far the easiest. * Not too costly (maybe around 10m or so) * You can be AFK (not much clicking required; don't have to pay attention) * It's fast; easy to get at least 2m xp per day A few others are: * Fletching * Construction (but expensive) * Prayer with gilded altar (again, expensive) * Herblore (in the long run it's not that expensive if done correctly, but if done fast it can be expensive to fund everything) * Thieving (as long as you do it right, you can get 100k-200k xp per hour) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
His_Infernal_Majesty
Herblore can be really fast. If you have enough money and all the materials, you can get a few levels per day. 11/30/06 - Quit RuneScape
