The Wii will be released in North america on the 19th of November, with the Japanese launch following on the 2nd of December and finally on the 8th when it hits europe like a bottle of mad train wine.

there was a recent poll at the local high school of who is buying a wii and 6 were buying a wii and 79 said it looked cool but arent going to waste money on it

Madden 2007. The Nunchuck/Wii Controller is supposed to give you control over tackling, passing, running, punting, etc. Sounds like a great time :thumbsup:

Oh man ive been obsessing over the new Zelda game for a few months i can't wait! Shame that is comes out in Australia 8th of December:( I want to get red steel and Super Smash Bros Brawl which looks awesome :D

Anyway, I'm planning on getting Zelda (of course), Wii play and an extra nunchuck. Then at christmas, i'll hopefully get another remote, nunchuck and Red steel. My birthday is in January, so that will count for Wario Ware and that last remote.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And for those of you who don't know what Wario Ware is, it is a Fast-fire minigame collection that is off it's tiny little head.

I just sit here laughing to all this, WII has to be the stupidest name ever given to a game console. Yes, I'm an idiot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basically Wii is not even trying to compete with x360 or ps3. It is purely an experimental console release, so I don't think these three could be compared.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And for who wants what, it's obivous: People who try to try something entirely new go for wii, and those who want same old good but with improvements go for x360 or ps3, depending on their earlier choices.

If you wanted an experimental release, take a look at the DS.

It is indeed innovative, but that's very different to it being an experimental release.

If you have internet acess, you could download virtual console games to play if you have a Gamecube controller or "classic" controller. They cost Wii points though, and the word is that you get about 2000 already on the console. Don't hold me to that though.

I might be wrong, but personally I find the idea of controller-with-movemental-control (or whatever it is called) quite revolutionary, and as experimental I meant that afaik nothing like this has been tried before with this scale, so I'd take it as a large-scale experiment to see if the world of gaming is ready to move on to new dimensions of gaming.
